Guys,
On Monday 1st June at 8:30pm someone was speeding down the local street and crashed my friend's cars that was parked on the side of the road in front of his house. I sold the car to this friend like less than 2 months ago.
What happen was he and his sharemate were in the house having dinner while their cars were parked along the side of the road as usual. They heard a car reving sound and a loud bang!!!. Once they got out of the house they noticed that their cars were pushed forward around 5 metres. They could see a white car speeding down the road away from them with bits and pieces falling down as the car goes.
My friend's car was a modified 1992 Nissan Pulsar with CA18 motor that he bought from me less than 2 months ago. And his sharemate car was a 1994 Daihatsu Charade. The bastard hit the Pulsar on the right rear corner and the Pulsar went forward and hit the Charade. Both of the car only have 3rd party insurance so that doesn't help. The cops also said they couldn't do anything about it. The two cars are considered write off. The Pulsar was unable to fix and the Charade is not worth fixing as would cost more than the car worth.
Here are what I know about the person who hit my friend's cars. The car is a White Mitsubishi Sedan (I assumed it was a Magna). The driver was a male. I was able to pick up a broken bits from the headlights of that car along with the grille that have a mitsubishi badge on it so it is 100% a Mitsubishi that hit my friend's cars.
I'm getting real mad about this because it happened to me before as well. When it happened to me I paid $1700 to get my car fix!. Both of my friends are students and obviously they can't afford such and expensive car or to repair a car that was hit so hard. With things like this happen I consider its the same with car being stolen, because after all, you lose a car!
This happen on Galaxy Street in Carlise 6101 ... If anyone see a white Mitsubishi with a front end damge and missing a grille & left hand headlight please let me know.
Thanks guys, feel good to share with someone

damn man, that is straight BS
a couple of years ago, standing out the front of my place watering the plants at 6am, this van drove past my dads pulsar and all i heard was a loud metal on metal screeching and smash!
then a scream of locked up wheels
i walked up totally in shock, that in a street you could fit 5 lanes in this prick had swiped my dads car!?
as i walked up to the van the bloke hadn't seen me, so he hit the bolt... only problem was it was his business van...
He was a courier, the name of the courier company...
Clipper Couriers...
True story
Charged with leaving the scene of at fault property damage, or something to that extent, i beleive

The other day a good friend of mine was shopping at Belmont and came out and found a dent and scrape down the side of her car, complete with red paint. Turns out they did a runner too, but someone had witnessed it and wrote thier rego, description of the car and said it was a female driver...and left the note under the wiper. Now hopefully the cops do their job....

This sucks mate really sorry about that!
However how simple is it for police to do some basic ringing around to any of the wreckers or panel shops. Obviously this bloke is now driving an un-roadworthy car with head light taken out.
Fn police too busy picking people up for bs reasons and not doing any real police work.
I hope your mates find the fkr but thinking about it he prolly couldnt pay anyway.
Good luck man!

I rang the local panel shops and wreckers ... no one seems to see that car before.
I agreed with Gooch, the cops are too busy driving on the road and stopping in Mcdonals for meals instead of protecting us. Last time when my car got broken into it took them 3 weeks to send a forecsic out to dust some powder on to check finger print. The result was they couldn't find anything as it have been 3 weeks. On the other hand, they were very quick to put a defect notice on my car.
My friend have now found a new body and will be taking out the motor and swap into the new body. The old wreck will goes to scrap metal.
