Yeah that's right- 1 balance shaft! Apparently they took out the one that was the hardest to take out?

There was a plethora of dodgy shit happening on this car- it's simply unbelievable. Good to know that the car is getting the love and care it needs though! It'll be back to norm in no time! :w00t:

Okay got her back and i'm more than happy!!

Running her in for about 6-800km's, running 7psi. The exhaust is still stock until a bit after the cat- then there's a 2.5" pipe into a 3" muffler. Thats what came with it (don't laugh!)

A 3" exhaust will be added in the next round of mods which i'll elaborate on later. Got some work to do this arvo- got a water leak on the feed to the turbo, due to the corroded line, and alot of stuff has to be put back in its place :)

Here's some pics tho!

Thanks Dean, it looks better in person!

Have to wait for a dozen or so heat cycles before the letters on the rocker cover can be rubbed back- the paint is still soft!

Just glad it's back on the road- now I gotta enjoy it and start saving for mods!

Well it's beyond words right now as to how mad I am. I'm having issues with UPS delivering my timing belt covers. I requested to pick the items up from their depot this morning, and when I got there they said the package is with a driver on the road. That was bad enough, but they said the driver will be at my house in 20 mins so I bust my ass to get home and have been waiting for an hour and a half and the useless fucken can't is STILL not here. Wasted half a day already waiting for these useless pricks!!

Here's another gripe- thought i'd be pro-active and go buy some fluids from Mitsubishi Essondon. I checked out their website and went to the address listed only to find it has closed. FAIL at its finest.

hahahahaha I've had the same experiences for the past 3 months! Me having to go out and do the jobs that those useless monkeys cant do themselves :thumbsdown:

Car is looking great dre, you guys put that motor together pretty quick!

Well the car is leaking coolant! Still! Stopped me from going on the cruise yesterday which was a real bummer 'cos the boys really put a major effort in to get it on the road for yesterday. It's leaking from behind the turbo, possibly the main water pipe going from the water pump to the thermostat housing. Hopefully it's not the head gasket.

I'm going to upgrade the turbo to a 20G a so might have to do that sooner rather than later- no point pulling the turbo off then on, then off then on again. The wheels are Racing Hart C4, 18x8". The centre caps are back on!

I spent a good few hours cleaning the engine bay and painting a few parts in Plasti-Cote Satin black, also threw on the RalliArt socks (thanks SIVART) and i'm going to put on a new air filter- has definitely made the engine bay look a whole lot more appealing!

Will keep you guys updated!

Almost finished running the car in. More than happy with the way its going so far. Only running 7psi but boy does it feel good! Glad to have boost back in my life!! ♥♥♥

The old girl got new bearings, rings, HKS 264/264 cams, head gasket, timing belt, timing belt covers, spark plug cover, magnecor leads, plugs, exedy HD clutch, pivot ball, shift fork, slave cylinder, cable shifter bushes, all fresh fluids through out (transfer case was empty) EVO 6 GSR Recaro seats from and rear and most importantly 12 months REGO and fresh number plates!:thumbsup:

Next round of mods are going to see my Autronic SM2 (I have lying around) installed via a patch loom supplied by Springy Motors, a TD06 20G and aftermarket cast manifold from Japan, walbro fuel pump and 800cc SARD injectors. The car needs a proper exhaust too- 3" turbo back is on the cards.

I have also put a deposit down on a CAMS approved bolt in cage thanks to marinetowing for his patience!!! :P

She's starting to come together- a few more months and she'll be at the level I want it, and then I can enjoy it, and get stuck back into blowing cash on the cyborg.
