mmm so what should i do ?
how good are you with tools and manufacturing?
can you weld? etc...
if you cant work on cars ie.. cant even change oil/filter etc..
save yourself the pain and buy a gsr or evo..
BUT if your pretty competent with cars.. why not do the conversion...
buy a rear cut and away you go
Jon
PS: i also have a GSR shell which would be great for its AWD running gear.. its got a kink in the shell from a crash but a good donor parts car

mmm so what should i do ?
Sell it and buy a manual sedan, a GLXi EFI model and go from there. DO NOT buy a 1.5 carby GL model or you're going to regret it. WAY too many things to modify and change over to make it EFI that its not worth the hassle even doing it. Its cheaper to buy a manual in the first place with less head fuks.
OR, sell it and buy a GSR
330kw atw @ 28psi 98 pump fuel.
372kw atw @ 28psi E85 Flexfuel.

Don't try to overwhelm him or anything....
Phivrne - IMO the guys are right, buy a cheap GSR or EVO if you can find one. Unless you are prepared to commit 200% to modifying your car properly, you will waste alot of time and money. Everybody here who has undertaken engine transplants, AWD conversions or the such has had their car off the road for much longer than they originally anticipated. Also from personal experience - the budget you allow usually blows out by 3-4 times.
Once you've started - you need to see it through.
If you want to learn how to work on cars and undertake this kind of project, keep your cheap Exec Lancer for a daily and get another car as a project (if you have the space/can afford to have two cars). Otherwise buy your GSR or EVO and save yourself alot of hassle.
We always encourage others to work on their cars and we offer plenty of support and advice on this forum, however we have also seen alot of people abandon projects which have gotten out of control and beyond budget.
