Nah. The paint is still very good below the cover. We are only painting the top and the sides. I wouldn't have worried about it as most of it was very good , but on the drivers side it was all shitty from a battery leak before I got it. It was all cover ed with stuff before So you could not see the damage but now I remove all the wiring , so all that will that be on that side is the filter and 1 day a custom catch can where the fuse box used to be. It will be super neat , hopefully

I got bored this morning , and out came the abs, brake lines, booster , power steering gear. This arvo the ac system and insulator. Only do it once I think. The fun will be putting it all back with out scratching anything.

My car has gotten so far out of hand it's not funny... but at the end of the day it's YOUR car, so u build it to ur specs

It came out fantastic. I even thinking if leaving the firewall insulator out. Looks too good to cover up.

Slowly going back together. I have been cleaning each part and fitting back in. I'm also doing a wiring tuck so I'm also modifying, securing and testing the wiring harness .

Yeah I did. It could have made more power but it had great economy. 500 out of a tank around the street. About 650 on the freeway.

This time ill do most of it myself and might get a guy in the states to do some tweaking ( remotely) I'll decide when I get it going again. I want to try dual mapping also as I want to run e85 for power but still be able to run 98.

The engine us all apart. Everything has been thoroughly cleaned. I have the new bearings, ring set and gasket. Hopefully should be going together in the next couple weeks when my mate has time.

This guy does . I bought a chip from him. Its was great. I'll do most if the tunning myself and get him to finish it off or I'll find some local. I'll decide once it's all up and running.

Does he just tweak a log off ecmlink? Did you get better fuel economy from switching to sd or was it the same when running a maf

The chip was for my gsr.

It was quite good on Maf also but I had the SD running for a while and I had it dialed quite good. I had my target afr perfect with my real afr( wb02 Logged through link ). So it was then easy to adjust the fuel maps to what I wanted. I'll do all the same again and most of the wot tunning and then let some tweak for power.
