Great looking steering wheel on the maroon VR-4....... not too flashy and doesnt look out of place... heck it looks like a factory upgrade or something...... ohh and yeah you're on my official envy and hate list for having a black VR-4. ........ great builds both of them....

Im thinking i might need to make another thread for the black one.
The wheel came with my maroon one when i bought it so being that i've been raping parts off it left right and centre i stole a few more parts.
The steering wheel, no pics yet, and the wheels... which i think suit the black a lot better.
Next up will be the Fuel pump and some more fuel lines and another aeromotive fpr.
Then the ECM link goes in the black one while i raise the funds for another socket chip.
The one thing i don't like right now with either of the cars is the intake. From the AFM to the turbo... its ugly and horrid. I was using an 055 with the ecm link, but the intake side of things lets it down drastically.
Any advice as to what would be best to run?
I plan on booting the battery on the black one also so that won't be a problem.
Cheers, Mike

The best mod so far mate, has been the move to the BLACK VR4. Very nice look, specially with those mags.
11 years of VR4 ownership - not driven it in the last 8 years

Cheers for the reply's guys, The black one is a lot nicer than the maroon one... probably why i havn't even started the maroon one since it was parked in the shed on jacks. Lol
OK update on the black Galant...
I took the old girl for a spin to town and back and found it was not running like i would have expected. Boost was slow to rise, farting a touch and generally just underpowered, so i parked it out the back with the intention of putting some time in looking for the problems.
Anyway, that was over a month ago..
So today i finally got off my ass to check it out after work, put the new boost leak tester on and pumped it up to 20psi... instantly obvious where the problem was.
The throttle body seems to be letting a LOT of air out of the throttle linkage side. Open it up about 5 or 6 % and it doesn't leak as much, but it wont stop at all.
It starts leaking as soon as it hits 4psi on the gauge. It's rediculously difficult to maintain pressure with an air hose so i can't really see the turbo having an easier job of it.
So i don't know if i should just replace the throttle body, or rebuild it.
Any advise from the wise?

Replace the shaft seals. Meek sell the seals. Will take you about 2hrs to pull the tb, strip and reinstall.
