You have a few options mate.

Hotbits
Tien

and a bunch of others.

I'm using Hotbits myself on both my cars.

He wrote "wat". I don't think his budget will extend to dms :D

Look at www.hotbits.com.au or check ebay for BC's or G4's. I put a set of BC (black/gold) in an NX coupe last weekend and they seem to be ok, spring rates maybe a bit harsh.

Yeah they are shit i have them and one leaks. also the adjustsment isnt that great, ive read people say they have teins and they have a good range from hard to soft, i wouldnt say they range is that great on the g4's.
That said i have them wound up hard anyway.

Ive also seen a few people running k-sports on here. Local suspension place near me floggs them for 1700. They look very simular my g4's but use some better parts according to them.

Arnt the cheaper range of teins in this price range?

You are right, they do look similar, but the K-Sports are 2 way adjustable, the G4's are one way..the K sports went alright in my III, bit noisy though.

rather than posting a new thread i'm gonna do it here..

i'm sick of the vr4 handling like a boat, so i'm chasing at the very least a new set 0f shockers but possibly something better depending on coin. i'm not after a bone jaring ride as its the car we drive to and from sydney reasonably regularly.. i tried repco/bursons/autobarn for front shockers and none of them list anything

so basically i'm after part numbers/good second hand units

car is a 90 hh vr4 aspec galant

cheers J

Jimi have you considered evo 7-9 suspension like the yanks do a lot?

Seems like a quality upgrade on the cheap - just a bit of creativity involved to make them fit.

Not to steal your thunder but a new set of shocks won't stop it being a boat. It'll just be a more (or less) comfortable boat.

The single best thing you can do for your "boat" handling is install the thickest whiteline swaybars. The difference is just... magical.

i realise new shockers aint the big answer but atm the ones on it are pretty much non existant so its gonna be a big improvement on what it is atm.. sway bars is a good suggestion as well.. :D hadnt thought of that...

i also need to do the centre bearings so if anyone has part numbers for them that would be awesome :)

had to rant somewhere... genuine centre bearings from mitsu $230 each... went to a driveline place hoping they could do cheaper 220 each plus about 160 for install and balance..

check with super cheap auto, i remember pricing them up about a year ago for tim and they were $65 and the part number for those who want it is CB125. if they can't find it tell them to call Driveline services or send me a PM and I will check at my store
