first off throw your loaction up for us members
for the second issue sounds like the sincros in your gear box are but in whatever gear its going it in.
the first issue can be series of things
have u adjusted the idle screw on the throttle body???
idle postion sensor may need relpacing
there could be a gasket leak around the throttle body
thats as much as i know some other members will have abit more info

Otherwise it sounds like a vacuum leak, is it a recent problem or existing?

As for the shifting issue- I had the exact same problem in my old VR4. It used to shit sweet az but anything over 5500rpm it wouldnt engage the gear. It turned out to the the 'xtreme' clutch. Swapped it out for an exedy and cured the problem.

where is the ISC and TPS. and yhe as for the gears.. i think my clutch is on its way ....Try the usual- ISC, TPS and if it still seems like it's hunting, try the FIAV block off. I banged a TS magna throttlebody on my EVO and it sorted out the idle problems it was having.

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor
ISC = Idle Stepper Controller

Revs just start fluctuating,from 1300 to 2000 rpm, adjust the idle screw an it eventually happens again.

Most OEM TPS's have a white paint mark on them for alignment.... check to see if its been scratched or moved.
Also use the Workshop Manual to test the TPS resistance and the ISC resistance.

setting the tps resistance by ohm meter is close, but not that accurate, but it will get you going.
that idle screw is not really meant to be adjusted, it sets the isc position so its not bottom or topped out often. (which will cook the coils and maybe the isc drivers in the ecu.)
you shouldnt really be moving the tps and especially the biss 'idle screw' as without the right tools you will never get it right. the car wont know when its meant to be at full throttle and when its meant to idle, it will not be as smooth as it could be.
check your isc coil resistance as it sounds typically like stuffed isc

OH hoh spaghetti ohhh!
Yeh ive played around with that screw abit,isnt there a spring behind it? I thought maybe thats stuffed and thats why its doing that...
Yeh it definately has felt smoother than what it is atm.
Fucking isc...

Thanks also gianni.
