I should be able to send it via Busfreight - it could be up to $50 though as the muffler is reasonably heavy.
My guess though would be that it would cost about $30 (I sent a small gearbox through busfreight and it only cost $50) - so in comparison this should be less than half that weight.
I can measure it all up when I get home tomorrow if you like and get some quotes? Would you mind picking it up from the busfreight depot to save on shipping or do you need it delivered to your door?
And yep, pretty sure the curved end goes into the dump pipe.

yeh if you could get me a couple of quotes that would be great
probably better if it is delivered to my door (if im not home what happens??)
so its pretty much the full exhaust minus the cat? do they come with cats?
and the muffler fits straight onto the pipe?

you save about $15 by not having it delivered to your door - if you are not home when they deliver it, you have to pick it up from the depot at Brunswick (so maybe thats a better option anyway incase your not home).
There is no cat included but you can easily add one in or use your old one. Yeah the muffler fits straight on just need to bolt it up.

Ok the price I got back from Busfreight was $97.45 delivered to your door.
If you dont mind picking it up from Brunswick, then the cost will be $89.45.
If you want to get your own quotes, you are welcome to. Details are as follows:
Dimensions: 190 cm x 45 cm x 24 cm
Weight: 22 kg
Location: Glynde, SA, 5070

ok well Brunswick is like 20-30 mins from me and i cant really get out to pick it up so if they can deliver to the door that would be ok (if im not home what happens) so im looking at $150 altogether?
do you know if it would fit a gti as im thinking of using it with my bolt on turbo kit and want to make it simple for myself
thanks ill let you know soon what im going to do]

Yeah it would be $150 all up.
I have no idea if it fits a GTi. It certainly wouldnt all bolt straight in without modifications though - as a gti is shorter than a lancer gsr sedan. Might just need the piping cut shorter.
If you are not home when it is delivered they might leave a calling card (then you have to go pick it up), or you would call the number on the calling card to arrange another time for them to drop it off. Not sure what busfreight do - you could call them and find out.

farrk this is a rare piece of OEM that I would have snapped up straight away a month or so ago. I recommend anyone to grab this for a hassle-free 'EPA Inspection' if one ever happens.
And this bolts onto the catalytic converter, not the dump. IE Cat-back exhaust.
Cheers,
Alex

I was pretty certain it was a dump back exhaust minus the cat.
I guess I was wrong!
