In preparation for this weekends Akademos Rally. Based near Alexandra in Vic, it's the only pacenoted rally of the Victorian Championship (that means the cars are much faster!
Come along and support the Evo's if you are free!

Nice driving!

they have a website - mafekingroverpark.com
if anyone ever wants to give their car a run there....it is a little rough though!
didn't want to go over the puddle as we were testing suspension set ups so its a bit easier when there's not water and mud dripping everywhere:)
first time back in the car for a year-felt awesome! (ran out of money this year
have worked 2 weekends with RallySchool though which has been brilliant to keep the skills up.
speeds-um about 140 i think down that straight. it wasn't very long and a i didnt want to over commit into the last corner as it was slippery and there were posts on the outside!!!

Any technical reason for the atmos venting BOV? Or does it just seem louder than it is?

Jess Watling is the contact - its $350 a day or $35 per car if 10+ cars.
Camera set up is using RaceRecall - they've got a fantastic website if you check them out (racerecall.com). Mark Clair is the contact and tell him you heard through Brenton Kaitler.
For this weekend we are using 2 P.O.V. cameras (stands for Point Of View I think). They are SOOO easy to use - 4 AA batteries, record to SD card, AV output and mini USB connection. We will also have fitted their new HD camera this week - can't wait to see the Hi Definition footage, should look magic. RaceRecall sponsor our team and look after us (and our referrals), so please have a chat to Mark and he will be able to advise on the best setup.
If anyone is interested in coming on Sunday, the rally starts at 9am in the main street of Alexandra. There's a whole host of Evo's including a 2, 5, 6 and 9 plus those horrible Subaru's
Come and say g'day if you come along-I'm running car 9 and would love to see you.
Also, just putting it out there - if there's interest we may run another test day where you can come for a ride in the car. Cost would be around $300 per person (depending on numbers) and that will give you a ride in one of the fastest rally cars in the country (on the tarmac in Tassie last year we finished 3rd outright behind the factory Toyota team, outpacing the likes of Jim Richards - imagine that but on gravel
Cheers guys,
Brenton
