So I saw someone get pulled over by an undercover Camry yesterday.

First time I've seen it. Anyone know anything about this? Reckon it's a trial or is it just another one of the SAPOL fleet now?

Territory (turbo and FPV)
Patrols (usually outback and off road use, or towing horse trailer)
Some imports (i have seen a Silvia with cops in it and decked out, WRX, Evo10..)

I have seen cops in Maloo utes, GT Falcon, and Mitsubishi 380's...

Have seen WRX'S with roof racks and even seen a Tarago under cover...

Yeah I'm talking about in SA though..

No cop in a Patrol is going to pull you over in SA.. unless you are doing something flat out retarded. This just looked like traffic cops rolling in a Camry.

Yeah I've seen a few marked camrys with transport escort on the side if them.. Maybe they are getting new fleet cars but I can't imagine the ve's being replaced anytime soon

Wow that is crazy organised.

I don't expect to be able to break the rules left right and centre, I just don't approve of the excessive resourcing that traffic cops are given.

There are worse things in life than doing 68 in a 60 zone!

There are cops getting around on dark coloured unmarked motorbikes these days as well.
It isn't really that bad here in Adelaide though, i rarely see coppers on the roads in any of their vehicles, when I'm out in the Evo or on my motorbike.

i had one follow me in the lib the other week on a completely black bmw bike, didnt even notice it was bacon till he past me and i saw a badge on the leave of the jacket. the small led lights are so well hidden these days.

I’ve seen a couple of Suzuki Swifts (LoL), I even took a picture.


And one time in St Kilda a Toyota Tarago undercover (that’s fu**n tight).

I can remember when an unmarked cop car consisted of a yellow VL commodore with piggy wheels on it. They were so bloody obvious, they may as well have said "unmarked cop car" on the side.
The boys have finnaly got clever. Not that thats good.
Even the regular patrol cars are getting harder to pick.

That gotcha rego is a bit cheeky.

We're not sophisticated enough for that sort of thing in SA. The most you will see is the Camry's as stated

There are half-marked cars here in VIC. All traffic management unit (TMU)

They have markings on the sides and rear, but from the front or your rear view mirror, they look like normal commodores. Plenty of Territory turbo TMU's in Melbourne too.
