Location in profile please. And this should be in the tech sections so someone please move it.
The 4G63 motor code is street shorthand for dominance. It's automotive Darwinism.

How long has it been sitting?
It just means that your oil is draining out of the pickup /pump over time.
What oil filter do you have?
Does it have an anti drain back valve? (RYCO and most others do).
Next time you go for a first start after sitting, pull out the fuel pump relay / fuse and crank it over for 30 secs to get pressure and then fire it up.

ull find it to be one of three things
1-pick up has a leak in the gasket
2-oil pump gasket has a leak
3-oil pump is fried
and dont kid yourself into thinking shell be right cos the motor will fail same thing happened to mine

30 secs is waaay too long. When mine is even sitting around for a couple of weeks the oil pressure light goes out before I've stopped cranking. You might be lucky and have a faulty sender unit.
