Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can shed some light or lend a hand. I have got a VR4 cordia and bought a Microtech LT8 which the seller told me is programmed to a VR4. I have followed the wiring instruction from the microtech diagram and I can't get the coils to spark.
Have had some help from Jayrome and managed to get some spark but nothing constant that will make the engine run.
ATM, i'm happy to pay someone say $150 to get my car running. I'm located in Vermont South, Melbourne.
cheers

i would probably take it to a workshop and let them sort it out mate, your gonna have to take it to get a tune anyway!

this way you can let them figure out whats wrong with it and if it was actually mapped for a vr4 (may need to go back to microtech for re-flash).

but if your determined to get it to work on your own, i would be looking at the wiring for your crank angle signal, (maybe cam angle for vr4 aswell?). that can cause heaps of ignition dramas , i have seen a few ppl, including myself, have spark dramas due to incorrect wiring to CAS or microtech not mapped to suit the CAS being used. in the latter, you will need to send the microtech and sensor/s to microtech.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have decided to bite the bullet and have rang around for quotes from a couple of workshops, Maztech and Racetec.
Dean, do you have the contact details for Springy Motors? If not, i'll look for it on whitepages...is their trading name Springvale Motors?
By the way, I'm located in Vermont South.
