Anyone know a place where i can pick up some Kumhos for my 9 to go on my 17'' enkei's that will do a decent price, so many dudes try to rip you and crap on about rip off Italian tred that have huge profit margins on. Oh preferably in the west don't mind going for a spin somewhere if need be and if the guys a top bloke

The guys @ TMR recommended the KU36 but ive also heard good things about the Potenza RE-11..... anyways yeah the 2254017 would probably be what i go for unless i could get a bit wider on the stance as that would be nice.

ku36s are very good.

so you would need 235/45/17s?

if polo cant help option garage are very cheap indeed for ku36s

i have KU36s on the wifes evo 8.............not impressed. it maybe needs a different setup but Ive found they under steer quite strongly. The steering response is good but you need more lock when compared directly to the champiros which are currently on the back...........yep Ive given time to scrub in and checked the pressures.

you can go federal 595ss for a similar (if not slightly cheaper) price. pretty good tyre for $$ IMO

and pharkk option1 is cheap!

I hope you realise they are a R compound street tyre so they need to be well upto temperatures before they start weaving their magic. Otherwise when they are cold they arent really grippy. Like R compund track tyres.

i was aware of their 180 tread wear rating and that they may also take a little heating up to work. Having said that Ive tried them hot and warm on both front and rear of the car with different pressures as well.

I remain unimpressed.

I have access to a very wide range of Tyre products at the right prices.......perhaps I've been spoiled by that.... working in the earth-mover wheel industry sometimes has its perks

Good work guys now im thrown as to what to get ..... but the TMR guys did track and street testing on them and winning bathursts they know there stuff.... so ill prolly go with them but yeah thanks heaps for all the info

Talk to the guys at Essendon Tyrepower. They race and know their stuff, esp when it comes to what sort of decent rubber is needed to get the most out of your car on the track.

R1R, RSR and KU36 are not R spec tyres... seriously ppl... even i know that. at best they are good road tyres.

i got R1R they are good... but get hot reasonably quickly... which is both good and bad.

yeah if you want a pure track tyre...

stick with advan a048's toyo r888's or re55's

if your after something that is good on the street and can be taken onto the track every now n then the ku36s for the price they are will be pretty decent.
