Evo 3 front guards; aluminium or steel?
#1

this is probably a newbie question, but are genuine Evo 3 front guards made from aluminium or steel?
I have tried searching via Google etc, and I have found sites which say they're steel and others that say they're aluminium:unsure:. I know that later model Evos have aluminium guards, but what about Evos 1 to 3?
So which is right? aluminium or steel?
And if they are steel, is there any difference between Evo 3 and CC Lancer sedan front guards then? To my eye, the Evo 3 guards look a little more flared/pumped but I could be fooling myself here.
The reason I ask is that I need a pair of front guards for my Evo 3 RS, and if the CC Lancer sedan front guards are the same it would certainly make sourcing a pair easier.
cheers,
Peter D

thats why its so much easier doing an evo front end on a CC, as you can weld both steel panels together.
With later model evos you have to get FG ones.
