hey guys been a while since i cam on here. just looking for some advice and thoughts on certian upgrades. first off i am wondering if any one here has used the haltech platinum in there evo. looking to getting that for the stand alone or maybe the power fc( as dated as it is)
as well. i know that alot of people put the big 16g on the cars but has any one put a gt30r or possible a gt35r on the car, i have had a hell of a time finding any older evos with these upgrades. i know in doing the gt upgrade over the 16g or even 20g i would need a new manifold and v band outlet pipe as well as the wastegate fitting. do i need to change the injectors if i want to run 15psi and looking to get 300 AWHP. NO one in canada knows shit about the earle1-3. thanks for the info guys any ideas or opinions will help

To achieve this, i made 225kw this is what i had:

Modified factory ecu
560cc Evo 6-9 injectors
Upgraded intercooler piping 2.5' hot 2' cold
Aftermarket ex manifold
TD05H-20G, this is a full 20G front/rear wheels in a TD05H water cooled housing.
Good clutch
20psi
264/264 HKS camshafts
Cometic MLHG
ARP Head Studs

stock bottom end.

made a comfortable 225kw all day every day, however if i had gotten aftermarket management i would of easily made more as my boost levels and afr werent quiet rite on the dyno.
this setup was good for 119mph down the 1/4 which is a mid 11 second trap.. but due to the AFR/boost levels i never actually did run an 11 closest was 12.050 @ 117mph.

and in regards to the haltech.. yes they are a very good ecu! if you can find a tuner who can tune them!

I think 220-240kw is about the maximum power you could extract out of a stock bottom end motor before it starts borderlining on bang bang theory.

Jon

PS: if you have no budget slap on a GT30.. but itll cost alot more then a TD05H-26G hiflow because you need new dump pipe/oil lines/water lines/ manifold/external gate etc..
