Will be run fri/sat midyear.

Full national circuit (not the club circuit)

Open to anything powered by a 4g, FWD/AWD/RWD, cars will be classified later. Registration not required, scruitineer's check is required. All mods will need to be disclosed so we can categorise you properly. We will also have a 10 car bracket (maybe 20, depends on EOI??) for 6g powered vehicles... 6a12/6a13/6g72/6g74. The only caveat is that all entering vehicles must either be forced induction, or dyno sheet proven high powered N/A's (So that we don't have to classify 1.5 litre carby fed 4g15's into a category)

Approximate cost would be $300 for BOTH DAYS. (As in $150 a day).

We're estimating you'll get over an hour of competitive laps in per vehicle across both days. Along with individual events on day 2.

I need serious EOI's. Who would be willing to foot 300 bucks for 2 days of crazyfun @ Calder.

-- This is an EOI, I've not booked the track yet as we are still trying to figure out how many cars we can get from the 4g/6g clubs around Australia and how much $$ we need to dig up from sponsors to cover the difference. Breakeven is 70 cars. Max amount of cars we can field would be around 80 cars with decent tracktime amongst them. This is mostly early planning stages, I won't lie to you about it and is being run by Team4g.com (now 4GTuner.com).

---

THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD, THIS IS AN EOI THREAD. THE DISCUSSION THREAD IS HERE

---

EDIT:

This is now an EOI circuit work thread. Calder, Sandown, Haunted Hills. Want to do a club day with 4gt? Post up here.

No longer calder specific.

This is very much up for discussion. It's possible we will run 1 circuit and 1 events day.

It's run under CAMS regulations so Full body clothing, approved helmet, shoes (no thongs/sandals anywhere in the venue apparently). Fire extinguisher, but not a Halon one. Nothing MAJOR.

Narrow minded to say the least

The whole idea unless you are combining it with someone else's track day is help all members gain experience not start to divide them due to you cant be assed putting them in groups

BOT: I have other work racing commitment in Sydney that weekend other wise I'd be in

as for a 4GNats that should be a definite.

Which weekend? We havent' specified one mate. Haven't even rung calder to check calendar dates yet.

And it's not me being narrow minded, let me explain...

In the simplest terms, assume we only get one group of 10 FWD's. Some are say, Cordia's which are ~120kw or something. *off the top of my head*, assuming nothing is stock anymore. Assume one or two are an FTO and so forth. Then yeah that's an ok group. BUT, throw a bog standard FWD lancer 1.8 into this mix, you have cars that are significantly faster than it on the track at the same time. Unless the 1.8 driver is experienced (unlikely from anyone at the track tbh) this is a recipe for disaster.

At least that's my opinion, I'm open to thoughts on it in the other thread.

So full circuit, you came around the back and enter on at the very start of the dragstrip?

I thought once it was now a full time dragstrip and circuit was closed?

That would be a VERY long front straight!! leading into a hairpin

Rules are harsh man, will have to upgrade my footwear

I hear what your saying, but easily rectified. Just have groups organised by what times they have done previously or in a prolog easy then everyone will br grouped by speed which is the safest way to run different class/modifications of cars in a speed event.
For eg. I know of a mirage Cyborg replica thats 1600cc frt'wd that would probably pick off 63t awd lancers ect.

Peakin: To remove your speed limiter , remove cluster from dash 4 philips head screws
to remove cluster out of dash once cluster surround is out and cluster screws are removed, simply tip the top of cluster forwards almost Flat and it will come straight out. You may have to tilt steering wheel all the way down if you normally run it in the high position.
On the rear of your cluster there's is a RSM printed on the circuitry floppy board, right next to this is a small Philips head screw, remove this screw and you eliminate your factory 180km speed cut easy
