Calder usually requires you to wear a fireproof suit (which can be hired).
I'm interested in 1x day, not too keen on beating the crap out of the car 2x days in a row though....
I agree whole heatedly with that statement
If I'm free from work commitments I'd be in a 1 day event. its definitely not a favoured track of mine at all but I'd make the effort.

Which weekend? We havent' specified one mate. Haven't even rung calder to check calendar dates yet.
And it's not me being narrow minded, let me explain...
In the simplest terms, assume we only get one group of 10 FWD's. Some are say, Cordia's which are ~120kw or something. *off the top of my head*, assuming nothing is stock anymore. Assume one or two are an FTO and so forth. Then yeah that's an ok group. BUT, throw a bog standard FWD lancer 1.8 into this mix, you have cars that are significantly faster than it on the track at the same time. Unless the 1.8 driver is experienced (unlikely from anyone at the track tbh) this is a recipe for disaster.
At least that's my opinion, I'm open to thoughts on it in the other thread.
Im starting find that this forum is only about 4g63ts and 4g93ts, nothing else......
Basically that the more suspension and braking modified lancers will not be allowed to compete.....

As the organiser we need to cater to the majority of vehicles that will hit the track and think very clearly about safety and pace. If there is no pace, people will complain and if there are cars that cannot keep up with a pace, then there is a safety risk. Being lapped every second pass is not safe for anyone, misjudge a braking point because there's a MUCH slower vehicle infront of you and you'll ram someone or run wide and go flying off the track.
We are aware that there are cars that aren't packing forced induction, massive mods, etc etc etc. Reality however is that the vast majority of vehicles on this forum ARE 4wd, turbo, suspension mods etc. I'm sorry but if we hit calder that restriction -will- apply. But for hillclimb and touge like Haunted Hills or that facility near wakefield then it wouldn't. That's the best I can offer at this point.

How about you go read the other thread where I expressly stated that doesn't apply for Haunted Hills.

i really dont want to be rude but seriously why is so hard to be understood..... this forum has too many narrow minded people, just because the rest of the cars can acclerate quickly and higher speeds. Dosent mean that the none turbos cant out drive them thru the corners.....

Thats what Entaran is saying, it depends entirely on what track this will be held at.

Because, Seriously, I've already answered your question. Four times. In two threads.
TO SUMMARISE:
- ANYONE CAN RACE AT HAUNTED HILLS
- EVERYONE WILL BE SUBJECT TO RESTRICTIONS AT CALDER/WINTON
It's not about YOU, it's about EVERYONE's safety.
