OK i have just been shown! I can get a NEW input shaft and 1st gear all shot peened for $216.00 AUD plus freight (30 bucks)

so unless i can get something very cheap here I think the new one is probably the way to go!

evopwr thanks for your email - do you still have the 1st gear for it? best to keep as a pair!

Still working out best option!

hey mate,

yeh i do have the first gear. can throw that in for free.

New input shaft and 1st gear for $216? IMO sounds waaaaay to cheap to be true, but if it is I think that is the best option for you.

$216 sounds stupidly cheap for a new input shaft.

If you are stuck, I'm sure to have a spare at home.

It was actually $200USD for a new DSM 1st gear and input shaft. Shipping cost was $65USD for 2 sets.
The Evo 3 gear was more expensive. I'm currently running the DSM input etc in mine and it has been working great :)
Got both sets from Jacks.

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

Troy, is this the E2 box?
IMO good idea not to use the Eclipse shaft and 1/2 gears. Go back to the taller Evo gears and input shaft.

It's only a dsm 1st gear though Rob. I hit about 60kmh with mine.
But if Troy decides that he doesn't want it then it will fit nicely into my other busted box :)
