if you want to dohc you stock block go raid a dohc proton for it's head, engine loom and ecu. in reality for all the stuffing around you need to do it's easier to just perform an entire engine conversion.

For the amount of time and costs of building the motor, you could pick up a Proton M21/GTi engine for around $500 with everything you need
Or a GSR turbo engine for around $800

You're better off going Proton GTi or M21 DOHC 4G93P. I've got a DIY with instructions here: http://www.evocoupe....&p=26144#p26144
someone had wiped out my DIY thread and I dont have a copy
A lot of it I remember in my head though. Fark it was a massive right up and Im a bit pissed off its been corrupted or deleted
Anyway, just grab the Mitsu ECU'd version of the Proton 4G93P DOHC engine. It uses the Mitsu ECU and coil packs etc. Year models 1998-2002 basically.
If you get the SIEMENS ECU versioned engine you're in a bit of strife and need to change a whole lot of things like the throttle body, coil packs, crank angle sensor etc to GSR items. You'll know the SIEMENS engine as it has Bosche coil pack and idle control and a black sensor bolted on the top face of the intake manifold.
Fark Im pissed about that happening

the 4g92 mivec head also fits the 4g93 block bit of work involved though and aftermarket computers needed.
if i ever get bored enough and want to fork out the dosh i might do a 4g93/2T hybrid.
