Last week, the Dashboard lighting (speedo/tacho/fuel gauge) decided to call it quits. Have been driving at night with no speedo .
Anyone got an idea if this is easy to fix, or how much it will cost. If it costs too much, Ill just put up with no speedo at nighttime!!!

So is every light out on the instrument panel? Seems odd for them to all go at once...
But easy to change a globe.. Pull the speedo facia off (2 or 3 screws).. Pull out the cluster... And about 4 or 5 bulbs are plugged into the back....
So easy even I can do it...

Yeah, speedo, tacho and fuel gauge have all given up. Warning lights still work (hand brake light, everything that comes on when you turn the car on.

I would say grab a couple of globes (they are pretty cheap so you may as well get em all)... Then replace em and see if it works... If not, there is a fuse problem... I am pretty sure that the illumination has it's own fuse ...
Is there anything else that is not working ...? It may be shared with the cigi lighter...

Either that, or someones playing funny buggers with you and adjusted your dimmer switch underneath your right hand air vent!

i know im bringing back an old thread but thats what search is for! im having the same issues. pretty sure i checked all fuseboxes. any solution for this...? all cluster lights went out one night same problem
Another thing i'd do is give the cluster a push towards the engine it might have wiggled itself loose a touch and might not be connecting properly happened to me once after i took it out.

Remove the whole vent piece and have a look, maybe a replacement (I think from memory its called a rheostat) is needed.
If you have an electrical manual refer to that, good lil description in there.
good luck.

if the parkers are out ....the dash will be out as well. so you know the head lights are dead....are the parkers?
I would check the switch on the steering column.
