Thanks bazeng. i was granny shifting too lol
nah havent run it yet, was meant to go last wed but wsid canceled it due to weather. i will be at compak attack end of march but wont be going all out there either, just aiming for a flat to low 12sec pass to stay in the pointy end of the field...
damn, if i was competing this year at compak attak, would have been a good race.
I had 240kw atw when i hit 10.9, so with your 270kw atw you should easily tap 10s no worries. It all comes down to how you drive it.

well i can tell you that the bell houseings do mate up, besides didint you think that i knew what was involved in that conversion ive had part in a few lol

No lol. I would have to pick up all the pieces off the ground if i did that.
Just a decent launch around the 6k mark and lighting quick shifts.
You have 30kw atw more than what i did, so nice decent launch and quick shifts, you can do it.
Unfortunately, i booked to go to melbourne to watch formula 1, without realising compak attak is on the same date lol.
If there are any guys from melbourne that want to meet up with me, let me know and we can go from there. I have never been to Melbourne before, so should be great.

Proton Satria GL/GLi (some power options) = 965kg
Proton Satria XLi/XLs (some power options + rear brakes) = 1095kg

Mikey is right, the satrias are not that light.
I ran it with 2 evo 7 seats which im sure they weigh more than your front seats, but i had no rear seats. The big factor is, when i raced then, i weighed 130kgs lol. So no where near light..
Its not that it cant be regoed, i chose to de register it as i have a lead foot, and have lost my licence 3 times, and countless fines. Not worth it.
So basically weight wise it was virtually the same, except you had more power than me.
Now i have the cage, and if anyone has picked up an auto, you would know what i mean... They are HEAVY. I could pick up a manual box easily by myself, and auto, i need someone to help me. They are heavy f@#kers...

why dont you just tell us what your car weighs??? im sure its been weighed by now seeing as its a pro drag car now...
i cant recall any evo or gsr with under 300kw that has run a 10sec pass take terbulent for example, he has 360awkw 440hp and ran a 11.1sec pass. there must be something in your setup helping you, obviously a auto is heavier but the benefits you get from instant shifting are unbeatable by any manual.. also your suspension and tyre setup is pure drag
also how come it only made 240kw? didnt you have a 35r and other work done??

i think anyone would assume a satria is lighter than a gsr as its half the size:rolleyes:

Looks can be deceiving lol. They are heavy little cars. my car did weigh over 1.25 tonne when i did 10.4 and my car is far from being a pro drag car lol. Pro drag car is the tube chassis cars.
The following is the setups i had.
200kw atw with 22g 11.8@112mph. Stock as a rock. EVO00X has photos of what my car looked like. Stock falken tyres, with cheap coilovers. I was driving it on the road still.
Then i added a shot of nitrous 30hp. This was because i was offered the system cheap at the time. This gave me 240kw atw and 10.9@125mph Stock falken tyres, with cheap coilovers. I was driving it on the road still.
I changed the turbo cos it ran out of puff, and slapped on a 35r, stock 35r, not modified. With only 20psi and 30hp shot. This gave me 10.4@137mph Stock falken tyres, with cheap coilovers. Last pass i did with stock falken tyres cos it skated on the track when i hit 3rd gear. Ask Bronwyn aka MISGSR, she was part of my pit crew. I was driving it on the road still.
And recently with the auto, and more psi up to 26psi (i have to check) and a little more nitrous 10.08@140mph, with Mickey Thompson radials(street based tyres). No longer on the road. Still with the cheap coilovers with upgraded springs (muffler was hitting the ground on launch)
No secret power addition. Ask Frankie, Rob, and anyone will tell you what i have just said. Do a search on the forums if you dont believe me lol.
I put it down to practice. I have been racing for 5 years.
Its all a matter of getting it all working in harmony, when launching and shifting.
My dyno run is on youtube. Frankie taped it and Rob did the editing as a surprise (thanks again guys, and Rob, where is my copy lol) Type in EVLJOE on youtube

Yeah the AWD Satria in street trim actually weighed more than my AWD coupe does in street trim! (coupe weighed in at 1240kg last year).
Adrian, are you sure when you were in the Haltech mucking around with the launch control and stuff that you didnt alter any other settings? or you had to alter other settings when setting it up? does it still feel as quick as it was before you added launch control?
