no evo came out with carbon roofs.

only the 8mr came out with aluminum roof which is what you might've thought.

8mr and evo 9s have alloy roofs.

good info. any one no wear u can get the hole document from? i want to find out information on stripping the interior and adding strutbraces and what not for stifferning. any one no?

Stripping the interior should not require any form of Vicroads/Engineering approval. You MUST leave any interior side trim in place (doortrims, qtr trims in the case of a Coupe) as these will affect the side impact performance of the vehicle if removed (refer my earlier post....)

Download - read - understand - read again - make sure you understand - discuss those Vicroads requirements.

Just chucking a rollcage into a road registered car without fully understanding the requirements and regulations surrounding it could wind up with you having your vehicle deemed unroadworthy and in the case of a welded in cage - unregisterable.

nah jon, very certain 8mr and also 9's have aluminum roofs.

apparently there are ridges in the roof that show this as well.
