They fetch around that price if its stock bud. Thats easily worth 10k!!!

Autronic ECU is worth $3,000, The Garrett thats sitting on it is worth another $1500, not to mention an engine rebuild worth at the least $5,000. Also the custom exhaust manifold, fmic cooler pipe fabrication and as well as exhaust itself.

Of coarse you can find a steal from time to time, but like i said, for $10,000, its well worth it. Good buy to anyone up the coast.

(by the way, 1.8lt's are just as good with a solid set of rods... i pulled on numerous times 11 sec quarters out of mine with a best of 11.28@124mph and my current gsr/track car still runs the 1.8 and blows most 2lt's away.)

Its that price because its got illegal modifications done without engineer or EPA approval. Technically he isnt allowed to sell it and can be fined for selling an unroadworthy vehicle... reason why he wants it gone ASAP and the price no doubt.

That makes ALOT more sense than the last post about the price. I guess he's stuck between a rock and a hard place then... Anyone looking to track one then might want to offer him a ridiculas price... who knows.

Maybe your right about the balls thing. Alot of people are scared of em because of twits who boosted the crap out of em with those small rods!!! Replace the rods, put some nice cp's in there and you have a hard reving engine that just keeps going! Straight line or track, there just as efficent. Thats not to say the 2lt doesnt have more immediate power and torque though, but its nice to not follew the trend if you know what i mean.

Do indeed and for what they are they are great...2ltr obviously have the upper hand and i would love to build a 1000hp 2ltr one day but its all about being a little different!

Shame i didnt build my engine now rather than 4 years ago, would have been a hell of alot cheaper but the price you pay for wanting to be different!
