When you think about it the mounts have been doing 15+ years of work... the metal component may actually be getting a little tired. Much cheaper than buying new Mitsi mounts. On the other hand I have never seen any of the mounts in my mitsi's suffer from cracking - hence the insert is sacrificial.

$300 isnt too bad for a set of complete mounts - RA inserts will be a shed load more than that.

i just bought a set of ralliart mounts paid $350 but they where only the inserts.
looking at the cusco ones they are a solid design rather than the sectioned design of the ralliarts.
so NVH levels would be much higher , i would reckon that they'd be better for performance but might prove to be a bit to much for the street.
depends on what your going to use the car for.

I agree 100% Alex.

Ralliart inserts FTW. Fits straight into the factory mount and they do a bloody good job.

For a bit of info i went to my local Mitsubishi dealer and ordered the 2 roll stop mounts and they cost 60 and 40 odd dollars, thing is they had them in stock in Sydney and I got from a dealer cheaper than anywhere else I've seen.

As for the other 2 mounts I don't know if there still available but here's the Part numbers:

RA871602K1 Ralliart Engine & Transmission Insulator Hardened rubber mount. 2 req'd.

RA581297K1 Ralliart Engine Roll Insulator, Forward Hardened rubber mount.

RA309269K2 Ralliart Engine Roll Insulator, Rearward Hardened rubber mount

I got these numbers off this site somewhere.

Cheers
GSR gone. Now driving 14 lancer ralliart but miss my GSR.

the cusco ones are a complete replacement set.. you can buy them on ebay for about $450 from nahux i think (local).
sikwpn has them in his project car and they're solid. much better than messing around with ra inserts imo.

FYI the complete mounts + brackets from Mitsubishi cost more than the above. I was going to get a set myself and I think it was around the $500 mark for just 2 of them (cant remember which 2)
Complete set for $450 isnt too bad. I agree with nk. Saves alot of mucking around.

Thats because those prices from Meek are for simply the inserts.
My price is direct from Mitsubishi for the complete set of inserts + brackets, bolt off/bolt on job.

Sorry for the epic thread revival, but I'm looking at finalising parts to drop the 4g63t into my CC GSR, and the timing belt side 2-piece engine mount is one of the last things I need - do the Cusco ones come 2-piece (block & chassis), or is it just the chassis mount? Don't want to pay $500 for a two piece mount like I've been quoted...

Cheers!

Those mounts sell for around $60-80 each, problem is finding them

Which is a reason some sellers up the prices to $500 hahaha, unfortunately people fall for it :(

Yeh i meant used, easy to find the chassis mount, GSR500 has 1 for $60 and Rickii was around $80

The 1 that bolts to the block is the hardest to find, everyone grabs them right away for their 6 bolt conversion

Also no one is gonna strip an engine to sell that mount, unless the engine is busted/blown
