I say just make up a date and see how it goes....
Once we can confirm pricing and venue etc, we can come to an agreed time for this event.

What we get for our $40 is public liability insurance, however for a once off thing, it would be much easier, and less hassel to just have an existing club 'run' the event with their name on the permit, or even better Tailem Bend will shortly be their own provider through CAMS.
spring sounds good Id think that mid to end of october should mean good weather but not to hot.

They have really been great to deal with and a real breath of fresh air to be honest.
CAMS even sent a rep out to one of our recent club meetings to find out why a car club that has been running CAMS events for over 30 years had suddenly turned to AASA. The poor guy copped a flogging at our meeting, I actually felt sorry for him.

If there is actually going to be events I would suggest a good place to start would be tagging onto existing track days
or events at first to see who will actually make the effort to turn up on a pre-set date.
No point going to the trouble if the last minute excuses come out just before the event
If that cant happen then its going to be pretty hard to get people to go to a 4gt event
