Hi ive just returned my car to stock and my last step was connecting the battery up when i was doing this i cant remember exactly but i think it was the positve touched the negative and got a small spark from where the fuse for audio is.
Well after that the car started and then broke down about an hour later on the road, i diagnosed it to be the 80amp fuse for the alternator and battery died so once i changed the 20amp, 60amp, and the 80amp fuses near the battery the car seems to be fine except now my headunit doesnt turn on and my aircon keeps turning on when the car is turned on, i have also changed the fuse for the audio near the battery aswell and i also didnt have my clock showing on the dash.
So ive got in the cabin and looked at the fuses there, i changed the clock one and then clocked worked, it was claerly blown the fuse, then i took every other fuse to check if they were gone and a swapped the radio 10amp fuse with another working and i still get no head unit turning on and the air con turns on still.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what this might be?
Thanks Andy

The air con requires a signal from around the heanunit wiring.
I believe it is something to do with a 12v from ign must be attached to an aircon input.
If this is not done, the aircon will always turn on when you turn the car on.
Lots of guys muck this up when wiring a headunit.
So I'm guessing that your headunit not working will have something to do with the problem.
Check your fuses again. Possibly a headunit fuse (does it have its own??)

Ive had the audio in there for awhile without the issue, it just happened when i got that spark.
Im not sure if the head unit has its own fuse, i have 2 amps running and a sub and speakers, there is a fuse near the battery which has a 8g wire with fuse and ive changed that and still no good. Would there be more than one fuse like behind the headunit or closer to amps?

Wheres the fuse for the head unit if they have one? It was a pricey unit so it could have its own fuse?

Some headunits have a fuse right at the back of the unit itself.

Thats extremely rare.
The fuse at the battery is meant to blow first! Thats the whole idea behind it.
How did it happen? Have you sorted out the air con problem?

Yeh i didnt see exactly what happened but the terminals touched on the battery.
I initially didnt have reds, then changed the 20amp near the battery and got it started, then car died so changed the rest of the fuses 60 andd 80amp and still got no stereo so changed the little 10amp behind the stereo head unit and put it back and it sorted both the aircon problem and headunit not turning on.
Thanks also Baz i honestly didnt know there was a fuse at the back so i was at a dead end kind of.
