Ps do you know who actually built the motor in the car.. i really need to get in contact with him / her (so I'm not sexist)
Sh!t, I only just read this. For the record, I built the bottom end of this engine back in April 2008 and have the pictures and email to prove it. The engine block was from an RVR Hypergear/EVO. The Godfather didnt trust the workshop his car was at to build the bottom end for him so he brought the block to me to build for him on a tight budget (ie didnt want to buy an aftermarket forged crank as a reliable 300kw atw was his goal). I gave him instructions for what to get done to it at the machine shop and then the block was supplied back to dipped, decked, overbored and honed, cradle was checked and refinished, the stock crank was crack-tested, micropolished and balanced. I had the entire bottom end rotating assembly including Fidanza flywheel balanced to within 0.01g and fit the Eagle rods, Wiseco pistons, ACL Race big end and main bearings, ARP crank pulley and rod bolts and ARP main and head studs, Felpro gaskets, new timing belt kit, balance shaft eliminator kit, new water pump, new oil pump and new welsch plugs.
The Godfather picked up the block from me completed and took it to the workshop where the car was at, as they had the cylinder head off getting reco'd or something as I didnt have it to finish the long block. The workshop that put the head on claimed doing the entire engine build themselves I know because when I went to pick up Godfather's old blown VR4 block from the workshop, I said looking at the freshly rebuilt bottom end of the new 7-bolt block 'gee, the engine looks new', and the lame ass mechanic said 'yeah I just rebuilt it'. You should have seen the look on his face when I told him I did it The other mechanic who was standing next to him rolled his eyes, smiled then turned around possibly for a giggle... that mechanic got pwned!
When the workshop finished the car and The Godfather brought it over to show me I was not happy with the state that the workshop put all the engine wiring and plumbing back together. It was such a poor effort and messy. I shook my head and immeidately pointed out a fuel hose rubbing against a metal bracket and had already worn half way through. He honestly should have just let me do the whole thing Anyway, its good to hear that it has been tidied up and making some good numbers. Im not sure what's done to the cylinder head so I dont know how much its flowing, but the bottom end will handle all you can throw at it on pump fuel as long as its got a good tune in it.
330kw atw @ 28psi 98 pump fuel.
372kw atw @ 28psi E85 Flexfuel.

nice
4 things:
1. Welcome to 4gtuner!
2. Asking the same question 4 times in peoples members rides thread is getting annoying. Use the WTB thread in the For sale and Wanted To Buy sections.
3. Single word and short comments to lift your post count wont wash on this forum: and
4. Please use NON TEXT/SMS language on this forum.
Thanks
