LOL! yer i agreed with you alex.. i reckon they only want him to get engineer for safety only but mods got nothing to do with it.. so he doesnt need to worry about putting AfFM etc.. but he'll need bigger brakes etc.. UNLESS he gets fuk over by epa then all i gotta say is GOOD LUCK!

If you are getting a car engineered with another engine. I am sure that the engineer will check and confirm that the AFM you are using is for that motor, that it is working etc. I would confirm if the engineer will be running your car through a drive cycle on a dyno and measuring emissions to ensure that the swapped in engine conforms to all EPA regulations for your year of car or engine (Which ever is newer).

My recommendation would be to put it as it was from factory (For the engine) and that means, stock ecu, stock AFm, stock everything. a 16g instead of a 14b from factory will change your emissions. Large injectors will not pass and so forth.

The last thing you want is to take it to an engineers a dozen times and waste money because short cuts were taken. Eventually the engineer might tell you to piss off and your car will be flagged as non registerable with Vic Roads.

^ sound advice, at the right price!!!
I couldn't agree more, only wasting time and money if you think your going to fool the engineer, they know what they are looking for, it's there job.
