Just had a really sh!t week this week, managed to F*ck a set of 20ich wheels and tyres on the bmw at road works and to top it off, the Garrett 3076 was a scam and close to $2000 was drained from my pay pal and credit card. Hopefully should have most of the $ back in 4-6weeks. Good news, I will be able to do my undercar lines this weekend as i payed for it before I found out 2g was missing.

My rear LSD diff should be here early next week, just hoping its not a box full of rocks now......

not good on the turbo. i know the frustration of waiting for a turbo and not getting it. Forced Performance has a special on turbos atm.

Could have used proton brake lines. My jumbuck has no abs,
I wouldn't run all new lines, just connect into the old ones.

Well, today is my birthday, so what better way to spend it than working on the car, however its a shitty day here and It decided to rain so didnt get much work done. For a birthday present my best lucus mate whos a evo master tech for mitsubshi pulled dow the LSD i just baught and checked it out and replaced all the seals and re did the rebuit the cv shafts, we also sriped down the Evo 3 transfer case and resealed it. All we had time to do was reinstall the rear LSD before the rain came down. Below are a few pics from todays progress. All we need to do now is put the trasfer case in and rettach the tail shaft and the evo drive train conversion is complete. Bithday my parents purchused a new set of personalised plates for me, must say they will look good on the gsr

Yesterday we had some more sunlight so we decided to finish off reinstalling the drive train, since the diff was in we it was up to reattaching the transfer case and tail shaft. The only thing left to do in the drive line department is to do the front axles and Intermediate shaft, I only have the vr4 non lsd intermediate shaft I believe it still can be used however the lsd ones have longer splines? I also have the drivers side LSD inner cv cup. Below is a list of the drive train conversion consists of
  • W5M33 -2-UPWE Evo 3 GSR Gearbox
  • Evo 3 Viscous front LSD
  • Exedy Heavy duty sprung button clutch
  • Evo 3 Front Axles with LSD CV Cups
  • Modified VR4 Intermediate Shaft (to be done and installed/solved)
  • Evo 3 Front Transfer Case
  • Evo 3 Tail shaft
  • Evo 1 GSR Viscous Rear LSD
  • Evo 3 Rear Axel shafts with Viscous inner CV cups
Here is a few pics from the days progression

Thanks, Slowly comming along, might be able to have one side of the trailing arm built this arvo, I would have had it done over the weekend however my bearing press exlpoded into a few peices,

That cressi's just a 5m, however his bro had a brown one with a 2jz and full custom r32 gtr rear in it that had 550hp, fatory motor witha few minor bolt ons. hes thinking of doing a 2j in it or buying an evo 9 instead. he does however have an old school early 70's triumph wagon with a 1jz show car hes building

Still have to put it all together......however in the mean time I have purchused a new toy to play with.
tamiya RC car. Turns out it costs almost as much as the real thing, but so much fun.

I baught it as a grip setup as all the drift ones were all sold, I am slowly converting it over to a drift setup.
Started with binning the origional engine and upgrading to the Drift Sports tuned engine and then borrowing some drift wheels off a friend for the time being.

Futher mods in the next few weeks are.
upgraged front and rear LSD's
full aluminium suspension, drive train, and steering setup from yeah racing
Heat sinks for the battery and engine.
bigger battery.
+3mm offset drift wheels
brushless electic engine setup (capibile of around 70ks)
Graphite upper deck, front bumper and shock tower stiffener. (maybe graphite chassis one day  )

but for now its been alot of fun and love playing with it.

A friend just tagged me in 2 videos of my first track day over 3 years ago, didnt even know they existed till this morning.

best time was a high 64 seconds from memory, on factory boost settings, worlds cheapest 17 inch tyres, and brand new coilovers with no wheel alignment.

It was the first time I had driven the gsr in over 1.5years and was the first time I had driven an car after previousally loosing my licence for 9 months.

Maybe it will be driveable again one day but still trying to hunt down a turbo after being scammed on the last one I baught off ebay.
