Cheers bro, yea it's been a long process. I'm still waiting for the BMW to sell so I can move forward to this project. I'm happy to drive round in a $1000 Hyundai exel to get this thing back to the track. Really hopeing to have some good updates soon.

I've had heaps of bad luck on this car just had to fall out $1800 to get wheels straighten and new tyres and the steering fixed in it after breaking it at a set of road workes as where they cut it lover but 50-60mm and didn't bother sticking a sign at it. Then Falk out $200 for a new battery and now rego due next Monday. Gsr doesn't cost me money when its just sitting there haha. It's a race between my gf and my BMW who gets to spend my pay check first. I just want to be back at the track again, miss it so much!

Well being a unistudent donesnt help the old pay packet either, so would love to finish that up as well. Basically all the cash that i was going to use to finish of the gsr and set it up for the track is tied up on the BMW deffiently not a sellers market for cars atm, Im also at the stage now to sell the bmw for the cost to finish it up and I'll just use public transport or a razor scooter. :P

Well, bit of an update, GSR still has not moved however, swapped the BMW for an S15, Its pretty basic, just with tanabe coilovers, all adjustible suspension arms, set of 18x8 and 18x9's, 2.5 cat back zorst and homo black bonnet. heaps less ks than the bmw. the rides a bit rough but is good enough for daily dutys for now

No real plans for it except visually the bonnet has to be resprayed white, and just going to add DC2 lip, type R skirts and pods. I'll sell the wheels and get a set of bronze Grid R 18x9.5

At the momemnt I am really dispointed how slow it is so ill probally invest a frontmount, turbo back exhust, walbro 255, avcr and wind the boost up, 190-200kw is achieve on stock ECU. if not ill add a nistune Alot of this stuff I have left over from the GSR so not a huge outlay.

The car itself is super clean and paint pritty well perfect! and everything works except one vavle thats required for the aircon.

Its already shit a coil pack on the drive home after picking it up but it can be forgiven because its an SR and should be here by this arvo.

The plan for the GSR for now is just to put it back together and just run the existing Haltech with a 3071 as really I have enverything there for it now, just lacking in the time department, however looking at some holidays mid year :)

Test fitted the Turbo on the gsr last night, I wasnt sure if the Garrett 3076R would fit as the custom steam pipe manifold was off a open wheeler track car with a 4g63 and was with a differnt turbo. It clears with the radiator in and Ill just have to run thermo fans on the front of the radator.

The s15 is coming along nicely now, sorted out a few bugs, and found out why it was lacking in power, blocked cat, and the sake in the rear end was just bend toe arms. New GK Teck andjustble toe arms were fitted and 3inch turbo back exhust installed including custom dump pipe. Hybrid front mount intercooler kit was also installed and fits pretty damn well!. Added a walbro 255 Lph fuel pump and as well as looking at ordering 18x9 and 18x10 inch Works XD9's for it in the comming weeks. Also found out that it has a differnt turbo on it the jap spec Garrett T20BB and turbo smart fuel cut defendier. We have orgainsed to squeeze it on the dyno in a few weeks after the 2jz, Garret 3540r power AM Auto VS commodore Ute goes in for a few power runs. We will plan to wind the boost up from 7 - 15 pis which is still quite safe on the old SR20 which should amount in around 200kw atw. if we run short Ill install a nistune as repeate the process. If she goes pop might have to invest in an engine conversion of the 4G varity

Apparently there is a bloke around the corner doing some dyno that Miles knows, They send a few of there customers cars there. The 2jz in the commo utes been cranked up to 25 psi so there doing some power runs before they sell it. I was going to go up there and put the S15 on and wind the boost up to 15 and hopefully close to 200kw atw. I was going to order the xd9's this week however the gf's cars engine decided to spontainiouslly combust for the last time before siezing on the side on the highway. So there goes the xd9's for a few weeks =( guess Ill be rebuilding a vectra this weekend.

Not much has happened since May, as Ive been focusing on the S15 and getting it ready for PowerCruise at Brisbane. Changed a few things over and put the semi slick tyres on and upped the boost to 14psi with an af ratio of 11.3.

It ran fautllessly beating many boosted commodores and a few more heavilier modified imports until i decided to take it to the drag strip.
It was my first ever time and on my first run I did a 13.5sec quarter mile. On my second run the clutch let go while doing the staging brunout to the point of free reving with the smallest amout of load on the throttle. Identifing the fact it was a dirty SR20 I still went down the strip, cycled though to 3rd gear were it had no more clamp pressure and roled the last 100m accross the line (on my first run i was crossing the like top of 4th) for another 13.5 however with 5 mph more speed. I figure there could be up to half a second more pace in the current setup which is well to my high to mid 12 sec daily driver goal.

After the drag stip I ordered a new Xtreme HD Cluch and light weight flywheel. After running it in it has a bit of a bite to it and is not much more heavier than the standar clutch pedal. Test skids and drifting confirmed this and I've yet to have it slip. While I was at it I upgraded to an ally radiator. Unfortunantly it was my money to go to WTAC this year so unfortuantly I wont be making the aunal trip there from QLD and see georges Evo domiate all. :(

My brand new WORK CR Kais have just arrived from japan and awaiting me to pick them up. The s15 now goes back to daily dutys for the next few months untill after christmas.

I also have recently purchused a new Haltech Platinum 500 for the GSR, For my appliaction they said the 500 will work fine, as my gsr is the bare basics track car, everything though AM Auto. AM have used the 500 in heaps of high hp cars however comapring it between the 1000 bang for buck. The guys at AM are haltech distributors and have installed hundereds of them to date on almost ever car imagineable and know them inside and out. They will be doing a custom loom and finishing off my fuel system and get the car started :)

I'll be selling my old haltech and loom soon, as well as my gsr gearbox transfer case and diff as a package for some one wanting a awd conversion. If my mate doesnt use my 3000gt front a rear brack setup ill also sell that.

All I have left to do is order a turbo and purchase rear brembo brackets. I origionally made and designed that fit and worked, however took it back to my fabricator finish it off, and it fucked them up by not setting up the machine correctly. So Ive just walked away from them because he wanted more money to redo them even though it was his fault :fuuuuu:

Hopefully Ill have some more regular updates in the near future.

My plans are to get it back together, tune it, develop some aero for it and track it. I want to get some seat time next year and possibally start a new build the following year

Depends what sort of ECU/level of tuning your looking at. (AM Al & Miles) do all custom wiring/fabrication to all brands of ecu's and extremely good at it. For anyone that saw it they did the did the turboing the Mazda mx5 for Mighty car mods episodes.

For pricing, you would really have to contact them (07) 5455 5269. I'm best mates with Miles brother and he knew i was looking out for a ECU so he offered it to me. Miles as he was going to use it in his efi converted mark11 Jaguar, however he decided to LS1 conversion and he didn't need it so offered it to me a bit cheaper than normal. As for a new custom loom I haven't had the "price discussion" with them yet however my current haltech looms a bit hacked up from the previous owner so Al said its best to start fresh.

My Brother just had a brand new Adaptronic ECU into his STi daily by AM and they had Mark from Millennium motorsports tune it for him 200kw at the wheels however they didn't want to push the duty cycle over 80% even though the cars capability of making alot more. I was really impressed with it, it doesn't miss a beat, warm or cold.

Last night My goodies for the s15 turned up from japan, Work Crkai 18x9.5 +20. I was browsing though Evo123 the other night and came across an evo 3 with 18x9.5 +25 with stretched 225/40/18s from NZ. To be honest I think its pretty cool with the rolled out rear guards. Apparently it fits brembos under the front wheels as well. When I can afford some tyres I might have to the Crkais on the GSR Lol. Probably no good for the track but I think it looks cool.

So once again it’s been approximately 6 months since I last had any update on the car, Yes it still exists and yes I plan to work on it a bit more.

Unfortunately at the end of last year I was a victim of the Qld Anti hooning laws, not for breaking the law but from the assumption of being a hoon by owning a modified vehicle as most police officers do.

As it sits I am currently facing court over it all to clear my name from any wrong doing. It was not good timing as I was due for major surgery only a few days later. Unfortunately I had to dig $6000 into the GSR fund and purchase a new car for me and my gf as she was uncomfortable for driving the S15 around after several additional encounters I had had with QPS the months Pior. December ended up costing me over $15000 including hospital and surgeon fees in additional expenses that I was not ready for.

The S15 has been off the road since the end of November 2013 and now possesses a few more performance and visual mods however unfortunately it’s no longer the daily I intended it to be. I’ve taken the time to install a greedy emange ECU, Z32 AFM, 680cc injectors, Apexi AVCR, Nismo Fuel Reg. I am still yet to purchase a set of Tomei cams and a larger turbo for it. Handling wise I’ve purchased new coilovers and rebuild all adjustable arms with new rose joists and replace the sub frame and its bushes.

s15-1_zps6140b13c.jpg

s15-2_zpse3f98263.jpg

The GSR has been sitting pretty bare for the last year however it’s time to finally get her rolling again. Late last year I purchased a brand new Haltech ECU which is just itching to be installed in the car.

Last year I attempted to design and construct my own rear brembo brake adaptors to use with an Evo 4 rear drum hand brake which initially worked, however after a bit of fine tuning my fabricator F#CKED them up beyond repair and then wanted to charge me to build another set. Unfortunately I walked away a few hundred $$ in the red.

So the GSR has sat until now, over the last few days I’ve been talking to Rob from Racefab and as of an hour a go have finally purchased a new set. This was the only thing I was waiting on to get the car rolling again. I know I’ve been slack however my main goal is to get her rolling again.

Hopefully my next update will be with a rolling car again or something close to it.

Wow, sounds like alot has happened between updates!

How do they charge you not with breaking the law "but from the assumption of being a hoon by owning a modified vehicle"?
