I envy your system, yea, it would be finished this weekend if I didn't pinch the oring for the fitting and Pirtek is closed all weekend.

So I had a bit of spare time on fathers day, so knocked up some brackets hard mount the thermo fan to the body, I tired using the exsting fan mounts however just need to fix the lower bracket to the radiator support. I might have to look into some sort of way to dampen it to reduce vibration.

Bit more done tonight, Fuel filter and line installed. will changed to braid though. Im modifiyed a motorcycle headlight bracket, as a dropper bracket for the fuel filter. it will be nutserted to the bottom rail of the car. Its the perfect size for the 30mm dia of the filter. I'll upgrade the filter once the cars running and had a few tanks of fuel through it.

Turns out the bracket I purchused for the fuel filter will work. It will take any additional weight off the joiner. The steel is soft enough that I'll be able to bend it at the top and nutsert it to the rail. I'm happy with the results.

Not much done this weekend unfortunately however the motorcycle head lamp bracket has proved to work as a fuel filter bracket and is nice and sturdy under the car. Slowly ticking off items on the list.

No real update on the car, however have organised the garage with shelving. It turned out really good. The car has been used to store a lot of the trims and interior parts over the years, now they are safely stacked on a shelf.

When will this be running?

Had plans for something in the next few months, however looks like we are having another child so that may put the handbrake on the project again.

Lucky SOB having a garage like that!

Garage is a work in progress, Would love to remove the center Pier and go a 2100x5300 single panel lift door so we can fit 2 cars in there with the racks and the work bench.

Looking good dude

Cheers bro

With that set-up there is no way I'd convert it to auto, not without having a many decent thrashings of it! Even then I wouldnt be too keen
With the recaros- you dont like the 5 seats?

Auto was only a maybe because I’m old now and if anything ever happens to the manual setup. I was looking at just running later model evo seat etc whatever really as long as it matches. The Dc2 recaros I already have feel good for a larger built individual such as myself however they aren’t the look I was envisaging ultimately

Yeah fair enough with the auto but ya have to have some fun in the manual first, it is a seriously awesome build,
which is also why I have to agree about a f/g kit too
An the evo 5 recaros are grey/ black which I liked as all the gsr interior matched nicely

The Evo 2 bars are no longer in production so a brand new one is highly unlikely. You might be able to score a second hand job from Japan but.
I had Evo 6 seats in my Evo...I now have Evo 7 Recaros front and rear, combined them with a brand new carpet, really makes the inside look a bit more modern.

Haha, I've seen a couple of 2 bars on trade me (no reo or lip) for reasonable money, not quite free but $100-$150 but again ya still gotta get it here, 3 stuff is ridiculously expensive though...
NSW has had a couple of evo 5 sets pop up on ebay cheapish too, all comes down to timing I spose, lol

The new carpet is a pretty cheap thing to do, but man, improvement is huge, highly recommend it too

That's a shame, I had a look on yahoo they have some pretty haggered e2 bars for around $100 might be ok to fix to make a fibreglass mould but that's about it. Where is the best place to source replacement carpet? every place I've seen has it in 2 pieces. I'm not really up to the seat stage but would like some sort of thing you have done with matching front and rear seats. Do you know if there are any other factory body parts still in production or area they now all sold out?

I'm not fussed on reo or lips, fibreglass or carbon lip will do fine lol. Yea I'll keep an eye out on trade me, I have a few mates that live other there that may be able to post stuff for me

Where did you get your carpet from?
