I am planning a new lotus 7 project and I would like to use an evo 4 motor. I need to know which RWD gearboxes will bolt up to that motor, and which flywheel and clutch will I need.
Any help would be appreciated for a newbie like me...

We've been using Supra Turbo gearboxes for years with these rear wheel drive conversions. It doesnt bolt straight up... we use an adaptor plate which is easy to source over here... or make one locally?? This has proven to be bullet proof in our local improved production racing in South Australia over the years . Cheers Mike

Thanks for that. I have read that the starion box fits, also ex lancer and rx7 with a B2600 bellhousing, but I am not sure if the later evo's (4, 5) are wide or narrow....

Maybe the adapter plate might be the best option with a toyota box.

It's a heavy motor to be putting in a 7, how's it affect the weight distribution?

I have a YZF-R1 motor in it at the moment... so it won't be quite the same, but lots of folks use the nissan SR20 DET or the rx7 13b turbo, so I'm guessing it won't be much worse than those cars... even the duratec 2.0 motor is quite heavy...
