What's the going rate for a rolling shell +/- parts with a $5k paintjob (in factory Burgundy/Maroon). Paints like 4mths old and perfect.

Thoughts?

Basically, it's complete minus engine at this stage.

Would also consider selling the vehicle complete w/engine but will get more money pulling it to pieces.

List of other shit:

Fully forged 4g63 - details on request w/272 cams and a big16g turbo hanging off it <-- has one oil leak somewhere in the timing assembly, extremely minor
Jspec cooler + pipework
New 3inch exhaust turboback to suit a 16g, tucked right up under the car and legal volume (under 90db)
BC Coilovers <12mths old
New gearbox, transfer checked was fine
Multiple rear diff setups (all 3bolt)
Full stereo
Perfect interior
Strut braces, swaybars etc
18 inch axis rs wheels - 225/40/18 kumho ku36 tyres with shitloads of tread
spare set of 15 inch aspec stockies with good tyres with maybe 60% tread
ECMlink v3 fullly programmable ecu <-- will supply matching forum login for support
Various other stuff I forgot for sure like gauges/etc

Shell has 5% tints all around, if I sold it as a complete car it would be 100% roadworthy in its current status. (in Victoria at least, not sure on window tint laws elsewhere but worst case scenario the tint is illegal)

I would prefer to sell as a complete car for lack of hassle but there's no way i'll get 8-10k for it. It's a vr4 afterall not an evo so it will likely go out as bits.

Before anyone asks, I'm getting over owning a car I can't trust and will be buying something relatively new to replace this. I don't drive more than 5000kms a year anymore so no point owning more than one car.
Car's been good to me since I bought it last year off dan and had a bunch of cash spent on it, anyone who knows me knows how I take care of my cars and the ridiculous amount of shit I fix on them because I have a chronic OCD.

The car's currently getting a new clutch master cylinder at the mechanics and is registered until june next year with the plates "TEAM4G".

The lifters in the engine make a shitton of noise even though they're new 3g models from mitsubishi (bought them from trav on here)

-- Don't ring my mobile. I changed my number, the old one is disconnected.

-- Car is a genuine ASPEC. Can get numbers and whatever if you want them. You can even do a VIN check if you feel like it.
-- Will accept 8-10k for the car with everything attached and drive it away w/rego. You can even go through my shed as a bonus and take anything vr4 related you find and want to keep (like my spare engine?)

I don't understand the $5000 paint job, if you said its painted in factory maroon?

Do you have any pics of the car?

Rear left wheel came off after a wheel alignment (fault of the tyre shop) and took the paint off down the entire lefthand side of the car, courtesy of the stupidly stiff suspension there was zero other damage short of getting some wheel studs replaced. Insurance quote for LHS of the car respray was $3400 and change, I paid an extra $1700 ontop of this to have the rest of the car painted at the same time. There was no choice on colour due to it being mainly paid for by insurance, but I quite like the burgundy anyway, not everyone wants a lime green car :)

I think it's worth 2x sets of enkei's at current market rates :)
HID stands for "High Intensity Discharge", or if you dont adjust them properly, "Hi I'm a Dickhead".

Is this a for sale thread or just a curiosity discussion?

Not even close. It's being replaced with a 6.3L Mercedes v8. I have a real job now.

I am however still debating options, but this will be my last japanese car. I want something I can actually trust.

I would prefer to sell it as a complete item but I will part it if I can't get a complete sale within 21 days.
