OK guys since my last post i have done the folowing to my car:
OZ racing 15's with 205/55's
EVO 3 ECU, AFM and 510cc injectors(chip to arrive tomorrow i hope! Thanks to Russ for writing it)
Evo washer bottle with twin pumps for my intercooler water spray DIY
T4G stickers on side windows.
Of course the major change is the evo 3 TD05 BIG 16g that I(with Josh TSV and Dave "youda") put on 3 weeks ago.
It was a very interesting learning curve to install a different size turbo to your own car and work throught each set of problems along the way.
Now when i was living in vic I ran a 13.72@@98.30 MPH at Heathcote Before these mods.
Since moving to Townsville i have only managed a first run of 14.2@94-ish MPH and got it as low as a 13.988 without the the new mods.
With the above mods, before the turbo was installed, I have come from a 13.988 to only 13.850.
Last night I ran a PB time of [email protected] MPH with a 1.788 60' time
I was hoping for low 13's on that setup but im happy none the less.
So a night of 3 firsts for me: PB ET, First time over 100 MPH and my first 60' of being in the 1.7's.
Now you might think big woop but i am proud of my car and the fact that since i have owned the car, all of it barr the custom cooler piping was done in my garage by either myself or help from my mates on this forum.
I still have the custom chip to go and should see me to a flat 13 or very high 12 on a 1.8L with stock bottom end
This will put me on par with all barr one T4G TSV member and they all have evos
In this time I have also won 2 trophies, first in the wrx v's v8s night at the drags. The wrx crew in Tsv didnt have enough starters so they invited the T4G crew in to help. I thought it was a bit ironic that i won It was bracket racing so i won the final on a super consistant times in the high 13's and I dialled in a 13.985 and I ran a 13.988 with a break out of the mustang that i was up against. Even though he just pipped me on the line, I didnt know he broke out his RT until i got back to the pits.
2nd trophy was for the QLD street scene drag night and i won the 4cyl turbo class with a disappointing 4cly turnout of like 3-4 cars.
Next mods are:
I got an EVO bonnet for $771 on Ebay;EVO guards, orange corner indicators and flat side indicators for $150 off the same guy on the side.
Mate picked them up today (SUN) from ACT.
So Gsr gets facelift soon
Also looking at fuel pump, EBC, clutch and brake upgrade eventually.
Only bad points are the paintwork and the fact my gearbox lost reverse so finding parks on slopes is a pain!
Thanks for reading such a long post!

The Evo guards/bonnet will better your power/weight as they're lightweight compared to the brick-like gsr items. Alloy is great like that Looks like your car is really coming along
Looking forward to seeing a low 13 from the 1.8 litre donk
out of interest, where does the 1.8 spool the e316g to max psi and what is your max psi set to? And where does it make 10psi at? (for future reference!)

hey mate, congrats on that time but ur still .2 of a second behind me.... oh well, when i get back in Oct mine will be going in the workshop and u can have your pick of parts.
till then happy racing and ill speak to you soon..
Thanks Rick. I know your sounding scared now that a 1.8L is closing in on the evos
Thanks for the parts offer too.
Hey dane, that chip will make a MASSIVE difference, I'd love to see a 4wd dyno power run of your car once it's in.

10 psi is what it is set to and is also the first boost level at about 3500rpm and it creeps/spikes up to 15psi and stays there from about 6000rpm ALL the way till i change gears at 7500rpm on a few runs that i did.
3rd gear is pheniominal from 100- 140 untill i need 4th gear then on my "private track" from there to 180 its awesome too!
Its the kick in the pants you get once the big 16g comes into its own that gets you a bit scared(well the first couple of times anyway), when you have a smooth onset of power then it goes to 15psi and your backs in the seat  and STILL pulling until you realise its at 7500 rpm and there just seems to be no let up.

no offence but i think a high 12 from a stock 93 motor is abit optimistic.. but ive never done it before.. i hope you prove me wrong tho.
keep up the good work.

Actually Jon there's 2 guys on gsr-evo that have done just that. One did a mid 12 with a stock bottom end
Interesting.. how much did the car weigh and was it completely stock? no upgraded rods to another stronger mitsubishi rod? Did the motor last long before sphaghetti fever got to the rods?
