Well done mate! im glad you proved me wrong.. and you did it really well.. must of been a tip top prepped track because that mph against that ET is absoloutely spot on!! so you drove it really well!

Big congrats.. it must of been that clutch i supplied ;) LOL
Not bad for a 1800lb full face half organic/half ceramic clutch hey...

Jon

Townsville isnt that well prepped at all. Infact the only advantage is to the powerful 4wds where as the slippery track aids the wheels to spin a little more and helps not to break axles. Just look at the morpowa lancers 9.56@148MPH run up here. Simon said that if it were willobank, the axles would have broken for sure.

But to Jons credit the clutch held up well with absolutely NO slippage :D

nice one dude!!! what power u making??? i read back but must have missed it.

I have never had it on a dyno.

But i went and enquired the other day but its broken for now. Soon.....

But i reckon if Jon was running 12.44's on 187kw id be close.( my car is a touch lighter)

My prediction is 170-180Kw

Time will tell......... :D

Thanks to all for your kind words :D (LOL @ Shannon)
 QUOTE OF THE YEAR>>>

BTW... does anyone else have a sore ass??

i did 12.44 @ 112mph
1340kg car with driver.

106mph is probably around the 160-170kw mark i think.
afew evo's running 106mph are around the high 160s..
not to mention i ran 6mph quicker but only .11 back when i went 12.44 :P

Went again last night.

Temp dropped rapidly on the day(26 down to22 degs) so i thought Stuff it im going.

Ran consistant 12.6's and only a few 12.7's

MASSIVE wheel spin some runs

Hit a PB MPH of 107.39 too :D

I think that was the last run for this year as its just too hot now.Unless we get a really good cold snap :P

Might do some more mods over the Chrissy break

Well done mate, my GSR ran 104mph with 160awkw, and had most of the bits yours did, so similar weight.

Yours wasnt a 1.8L though was it? :?

I thought it was a 2L? What ET did it run for that MPH?

Yes 2L, the weight differences aren't that much though... 12.71ET from memory.

I said it was abit optimistic but then i said i never done it and i wished him luck..

however running a mid 12 and running an 11.. its like running a 15 then making ur car run 12s.. its not that easy.. i was hanging around the low 12s for around 4 months! it was soo frustrating.
