280-300 is exactly what I get.
I've got the Evo bolt ons though. Still sounds about right however.

Depends how you drive the car and what state of tune the car is in.
A new O2 sensor to replace a crappy old one that's been in for waaaaaay too long can help too.

full stock gsr, mt buller and back (tullamarine) with some overtaking used about 80-90% of the tank.
to work and back, about 110kms a week would use just over 1/3 a tank... i run late every day so....

I get around 300-350kms to a tank of E10 when just driving. Usually just cruising with the odd squirt when on the road, race kms are a different story

My III when stock would get 350-400. I was pretty impressed. Thought there were weeks it got 280-300.

Anything from 7L/100 kms to 10L/100 kms is fine on a stocker GSR.

you could also do a basic service & tune, like replace 02 sensor, replace spark plugs & leads, adjust base timing (if required), adjust accelerator cable, wheel alignment, check tailshaft for excessive backlash, clean throttlebody.

All this will help with fuel economy

In these cars it has a massive amount to do with how it is driven. I have a Evo 3 4G63. I can get well over 500kms on the freeway doing long trips, but week to week doing a commute I get about 350-400 out of a tank(tank is 50 liters, but I always put in roughly 45 liters). My car isnt running high boost but it does have a few other mods that would impact the consumption.
I had a spreadsheet that I was using to track my fuel consumption in my various cars which was giving me a value of 12L/100km when it was a stocker.

Edit: Post 666 yeah baby!

Hey guys ive been wanting to update this for some time, but I just keep falling asleep at the computer lately. I havnt been on the forum much either! (dont ask)

Since I have moved house (prob 7-10kms further out of town/away from work) in late Apr. I have been keeping an eye out on my fuel consumption.
After travelling a fair distance in the first week of living out further from town. I had to do a mid cycle fill of 19L whilst not tripping the odo. Then on fill day/ payday etc. I was below empty and put in 42L to almost overflowing (supprising) so that made 61L all up and the odo was on 630km! 9.68L/100km! To say I was happy is an understatement. Next fill I put in only 43L and odo 450km. 9.55L/100km!
Ive had a few other memorable results as well. 2nd last fill was 44L with 468km or 9.40L/100km and the very last one where the missus forgot to fill it for me and drove out all the way home (then swapping cars and staying at a friends place to look after their dog for 2 nights with the kids) leaving me to come home later that night and driving the car 7 kms to the shell with a jerry can just in case, making it (phew)with the fuel light on and needle further down below the empty line than I had ever seen it before and notching 501km and then filling the car full to 47L! BINGO! best ever with 9.38L/100km!

I must say the longer trip out of town with a more steady cruise speed has done wonders with both of our cars DESPITE doing more kms!
Just goes to show that you can still have a highly modified GSR and maintain an awesome fuel budget with awesome economy with a daily driver! :D B)

My gsr was getting 300-350kms with no hwy. That's with no closed loop and 7.8:1 compression lol. STD it was 300kms to a tank.

ok so i have played the game and took the 93t jummy for its first out of town run. filled tank(till it flowed out on the ground), drove 80k there and back 80k (freeway 110kph ish), refilled with 12.2litres (again flowing onto ground).
actually went and dropped old 1.5 at buyers house.
so that is...thinking, thinking, thinking...

7.6l/100km
and i have gsr tank at 50litre, so that is 658km to a tank. call it 600 if you dont want to run dry dry

im happy with that. lol
actually reviewed the figures on the 1.5 and the best was 6.9/100km and average of 7.4. mind you that is highway from perth to collie and back, but it has a big hill (wa big anyway)
