hey fellas, scott from tassie.
Always been a big mitsu fan, first car was a 84 GK GSR sigma which i rebuilt the motor in and still have as a daily.
Ive recently aquired a VR4 4g63T with forged pistons and rods from a mate for a unpassable price.
The motor is in bits but its mainly all there. Going to build it up and source parts to install into the sigma
Hopefully i can find some infor regarding this conversion, the bolt in is easy, gearbox and some L300 engine mounts will slot it straight in perfect , with a little massaging to the firewall to clear the cas, then the fun starts with the wiring and plumbing
Also the owner of a 92 factory manual GTTL JZZ30 soarer. 300rwkw at the treads and alot of fun
Anyway thought id say hi and this site looms fantastic, will definately learn alot

well motor pulled down today, all looks good, head looks to have been reconditioned at some stage not long ago.
Valves should be good with a clean and relapped which should save a bit with machine costs
Pistons are indeed forged, still trying to figure out the brand though? Have to give them a really good clean see if theres any stamping.
Rods are possibly forged as well, once again have to check it out further.
Surprised to find a copper headgasket and the head and block have been O ringed as well
Motor is a VR4 motor, which ive been told has larger ports?
Will be requiring a few parts soon, unfortunatelly i cant post in the WTB thread yet to try and track down the parts
