I have had my Proton for 8 years and it's been defected for 5-6 years. Finally off defect a few months ago and now decided to upgrade the 61t to the bigger 63t for some more power.

Engine Modifications are:

- 20 thou over bore
- block decked
- Acid dipped
- Crack tested
- Wiesco 8.3:1 forged pistons
- Wiesco Rings
- Eagle H beam forged rods
- ARP mains and rod bolts
- Balance shaft eliminator kit
- New Genuine oil pump
- Kings racing bearings mains and rods
- New welsch plugs
- New waterpump
- New timing belt tensioner and pulleys
- Linished crank (std size) and tested
- Full rotating mass balance
- Painted in high temp satin black

and the turbo I will be bolting on will be the 16G6-7 from Hypersport RVR

Other mods to the Proton are:

VR4 Gearbox with welded centre diff
Cusco 1.5 way LSD
560 Injectors from an Evo 9
Evo 3 Intercooler
Full ACL Race gasket kit
ARP head studs
Walbro gss342 fuel pump
Greddy Profec B-Spec II Boost Conroller

Well there you have it, that's all the progress so far. Engine will be dropped in on Monday and intercooler will be fitted, then will get the dump and 3" exhaust made up and fitted. Once that's all done it should be just about there and ready for a tune. Then last of all will be a new paint job which will be same colour.

Just clicked on one of the pics and they are massive, sorry about that. I have no idea how to resize the. Really not happy with the size of them, way too big!

All finished now and dyno tuned, ended up making 194kw at the wheels so I'm pretty damn happy with that. Goes like a rocket and haven't even pushed it to it's limit, still haven't even selected high boost, haven't even come close to wanting to try high boost but really looking forward to it when I feel the urge

I bet the gearbox and LSD make a big difference to how it puts it down. Really keen to see this thing. Glad my motor is still going strong as nails!
