Box is built - again
Engine is back together - again lol
Contemplating putting aquamist on it, instead of running a toluene fuel mix.
Rear end is finished. For those unaware, when I stripped the shell for restoration, the rear end had been in a hit before. It measured up fine, but wasnt too crash hot cosmetically, so its now all repaired and is now being reassembled.
Still have to paint both sides of the car. I had the car resprayed shortly after I purchased it. For whatever reason it now has alot of ripples down the sides, which I'm not impressed with, so I'm stripping them back to fix it.
Apart from that, nothing really new to report. Its a slow process when I only really get to work on it 1-2 days a week. However it is slowly moving forward.
Can't give a realistic ETA, as too many things get in the way.
One thing for certain though, I wont be making any more engine changes lol

Why is the a clamp flange instead of a bolt type flange? is that better than a conventional bolt-type flange for serviceability?

wow that mani+exhaust combo looks insane!

I run a Tial Stainless Steel rear housing. Performance wise, they flow virtually the same, if not a couple of % better than the GT Garrett items. My reasoning is due to weight, ease of fitment, and being stainless it'll never corrode. Plus looks hot
I figured updates weren't worth alot without some new pics. So here's a couple.
I've changed the colour scheme slightly, and switched the bright red to a pearl/metallic colour, its actually the red from a ralliart colt. Figured it matches the anodised red alot better. Also in the changes, i ditched the bright red silicon for black, the turbo ones, and cooler ones with the FP logo. I'll more than likely anodise red the cooler pipes, and prob the airbox in black. Trying to keep it very clean.
Also, a pic of my oil/air seperator. Its a proper seperator, not an oil catch can. Can plumb it back to the intake legally and not be concerned about any oil entering the intake pipe at all. Runs a tap atm, may plumb to the sump, havent decided as yet.
Also, braille carbon battery. Its actually designed for STi's, hence the pink bracket, which i'll get anodised red also.

Had a mate run the FP 3586HTA and he was unimpressed with it. Made no more power than his regular Garret 35R and just had a slightly higher boost threshold. He has since moved to a FP 3582HTA using ATPs twinscoll housing for the GT35R and loves it.

Where did you get the oil air seperator from or did you make it? Are the 2 fittings on top to the engine and the one on the side go to the intake?

Sure is, saved porting out the stocker.Looking great Todd

Nah, its a pretty basic turbo motor in this one. Should be around 200hp@wheels, plenty for my sis to get into trouble with.Awesome work on the Lancer love the red

ITSMAD, has some new goodies too, should have it going around June.
That would be Dirk. He did mention that he added more fuel, and temps where different between the runs. He is actually the only person I know of who hasnt had a positive result from it. I'm still not convinced any of the twin scroll housings flow enough up top to match the single scroll's, they do certainly deliver alot more down low.Nice build. Just read the thread start-finish (Slow day at work haha)

Craig Starnes made it for me. Some details here http://www.jcsautoma.../catch_cans.asp
Yep, top fittings are to be connected to the rocker cover, side one to the air intake.
Fingers crossedthe engine set up looks great, now JUST DONT CHANGE IT AGAIN
