Have it set at 10PSI at the moment but might have a play with it a bit higher over the weekend.

You will need to get a tune done for the car. If you need one, contact VR401 on this forum, dial it to 14PSI and it'll run heaps better...
Mine's on 18 at the moment on my TD04 and seems to be loving it.

10PSI should be stock standard on your SSG.

Hey Matt,
Sorry for dragging up the old thread, was wondering if you were still running the TurboTech MBC? Also how/where did you install it?
Cheers, mike

Mbc is just a bleed valve. It goes on the boost line to the actuator.
ON THE ENGINE STAND. g4cs 2.4l + Gt35r. PLUS: auto conversion + Awd coming.
thanks for parts and help: BMGTZ, EVOCPE, cwolf, Benozi, Jamo-GSR, 1JUM2NV, RXVII..much appreciated, cheers guys.

LOL, yeah man, for the price yours kicks arse, AND it's got in cabin adjustment So basically your $2 bleed setup is already better than a $100 GFB boost controller.
EDIT: I meant to say bleed valve, not boost controller, they don't really control boost they only adjust it.

Might have better luck asking jack. At least he was active in 2012. No idea when matt was on last. Lol

So just quickly, the line from the turbo to the actuator, I need to cut this and put the MBC in between the line, ball bearing obviously facing the turbo line? Is that all there is to it?

↑ Exactly ↑ Recipe for disaster IMO. Lean under full boost = 4g63 paperweight
Nice edit save benny. I still have a GFB in my shed, it was effing useless!!!!!!! That's why I did what I did. Not for everyone, but its my car and its not hurting anything. Thanks again for my afr as well benny. Cheers. Bit of peace of mind never goes astray.

This is where I have mounted my boost gauge.
Just to the right of the instrument cluster.
Easy to see, easy to read, easy to install too.
Just had to drill a small hole in the corner between the binnacle and panel to let the wiring and pressure line through and then covered them with a piece of black plastic spaghetti.
So far this is the only mod my HSGR has had.
Wonder why the boost gauge shows boost to 14psi ?
Still love the RVR but am paranoid about little noises
