maybe some of you would answer on my question
i broke my G.box already two times
first time it was 4th gear and second time it was 2nd gear
Car is JDM EVO II
i just want to know what is MY problem and what am i doing so Wrong that Gbox fails so easy.

here is Video of my street race and another is just Dash captured with shifts.

Clutch is Twinplate
the thing is that i shift with WOT all the time and do shift pretty Fast and hard :)
i didnt use NLTS system because i didnt like it. without it i feel kicks every time i shift and with NLTS it its like running AUTO :)
i'm running HX40 @ 28psi and shifting without WOT cause Boost drop

anyway any suggestion would be great

Thanks

what exactly are you breaking in the gear box?
HID stands for "High Intensity Discharge", or if you dont adjust them properly, "Hi I'm a Dickhead".

What pre-loads are you using for the bearings?
4th gear is pretty notorious for breaking once you start putting decent power through it.

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

Thats ok mate.
I mean the shims that go into the gearbox to put pressure on the input shaft and intermediate shaft bearings.
The shims are like thin washers that go between the bearings and the casing.

A completely stock tranny isn't likely to stand up to serious horsepower for a long time!
Have a look here to see what I mean about preloads.preload info

I think the problem is with the WOT shifting. I'm assuming you do not have any form of ignition cut when doing this?

Thats why I mentioned preloads Barry. With the stock preloads the shafts are pushed away from each other giving him less contact area.
That = bang eventually lol

Clutch is Twinplate

you said it yourself....

if you put a heavy clutch in it it alows more shock to go through the g/box....thats what fucks g/box's
but what do you do, you cant put a lighter clutch in....try not to shift as hard...and if you feel the need to shift that hard just put an auto in

dont shift at WOT...thet fucks it even more...damn research anti lag!!!

Its a combination of all the above. 4th gear under load in a stock tranny with OEM preloads, 28psi boost and shifting at WOT
Off topic: Is that one of the Bullseye Holset HX40's that can bolt onto the OEM manifold? How do you find it?

You are most likely not allowing the gears to fully engage as you are re engaging the clutch and without taking your foot off the gas,. So you may only be allowing a fraction of the gears surface area to mate.
