hi i have a 93 cc lancer gsr 4g93t. my radiator has shit itself. so i got on ebay and brought one of a bloke who claims it was of a 95 cc lancer gsr. now my problem is my original radiator has a sensor on the bottom tank of the radiator. the one i have brought has not. now i just wondering if this radiator is a gsr radiator or is this bloke telling porkys. second can i fit it. thrid does the sensor support the thermo fan or it a sensor for the engine management system

Its a sensor foir the thermo fans, u can always just connect the 2 wires together and the thermo fans will be constantly on when u drive

Had to do it to a mates gsr coz he bought a alloy radiator without sensor hole

or you could drill a hole and have a thread welded on for the sensor.

when I was in the radiator game...I saw some guys use a piece of 6mm thick alloy pipe in the bottom hose. then they cut a thread into that to mount their sensors

Yeh thats right mate, series 1 and series 2 changed their setup in the way that sensor mounts to the radiator. And yes its the sensor for the thermo fan.
I had exactly the same problem.
This is what i did to rectify:

As you can see i installed a water temp sender in my bottom radiator hose, and then redrilled it and tapped the sensor into there.
