As above I'm Looking for an Evo ecu preferably Evo 3. I have and Evo 3 motor needing an ecu

Makes no difference what EVO ECU you run on what EVO motor - they're all basically the same.

I've got a socketed EVO2 ECU and matching EVO airflow meter that I'm looking to sell - $250 for both.

What's socketed mean :) I already have airflow meter off Evo 3 :)

It has been modified to accept a custom chip that you can have burnt to suit your specific setup. Also has had the speed limit and boost cut limits removed.

These ECU's are rare and worth a packet, especially already bayed and socketted. For $90 on top you can send Meek a list of your mods and he'll send you mapped eprom chip ready to simply pop in to your socketted ECU voila happy days - I know, I have one.

Lets go about it differently.

What do you want to achieve?

My ECU came in the car from Japan.

It has the speed cut removed but I only ever ran factory boost in the vehicle.

If you are going to modify the vehicle extensively you are possibly better of going with enginr option. One thing to note with this option is that there is the extra cost on top of purchasing the chip with the tune you want.

If you are going to run a standard package ie exhaust fuel pump and boost maybe my ECU would suffice.

I'm not doing anything too radical. I've never had a turbo before. Just something to get the engine running nice :)

Whichever option you choose, your car should run OK - however I would strongly suggest regardless of what ECU you purchase you put your car on the dyno to make sure the settings will give you a reliable drive which won't grenade your engine.

My car ran perfectly fine with the socketed ECU. Rob at CREATD in Campbellfield tuned and burnt a chip for me and the ECU supported 220kw atw with factory reliability, except it had the all the factory limiters removed. The only time I had to incur an extra cost was when I changed my cam setup and had to get another chip tuned and burnt.

So ur ecu should still be plug in and my should run fine. The. Get the tubing checked to make sure?

Yes, both ECUs will run your car fine, however you would want to get the tuning checked to make sure that the settings in either of them were going to give you the best drive possible.

Not wanting to do anyone out of a sale but if I was the OP I would go for the socketed ecu due to ease of updating when you do new mods... Remove chip, burn new settings for new mods, replace chip, away you go!!

As misgsr said, meek can do this cheap as, I have one of these ecu setups too and love it for it's ease and flexibility.

Check the sponsors section mate.
It basically turns your evo1-3 ecu into a flashable later model evo ecu.
I.e. no need to burn chips etc. Def recommended if you think you will change your tune a few times.
You will still need an ecu however, so choose the one thats best suited to you.

If you choose to go with what I have on offer, I have no problems waiting until after New Year's - work out what you want to do and go from there.
