What are you talking about? Its in the lines. I'm just a shit welder. Not that big a deal really, it will hold, and do its job fine.
I have had a go with tuning the evo ecu with a 449 maf. I have moved around -60% above 1000htz on maf comp tables. The Ute is decidedly brighter now its around 12.5:1 AFR.
Its brighter, but still not fast...

Engine mount holding still...
Just been doing not much with the ute. Driving it here and there as main transport.
Got 8.9l/100km from it over 600km at easter.
Then 8.5l/100km over a 400km run a few days later. Obviously highway running at legalish limit.
Its filthy dirty, but im using it most days so its paying its way..

I have a squealy timing belt idler pulley...and banging front sway bar bushes.
Replacement bits are here just need to put them in before it throws parts out everywhere.
Oh, 8.8l/100km mixed 130km round town and 400km highway.
Also its developing a lean miss- running 17:1 at 3500rpm on cruise. Its ok cruising but doesnt richen up quick enough to not stumble when transitioning to acceleration.
Maybe a pipe has fallen off the intake..must have a look.

I had issues with the 449maf. It's baro reading was pooped. I ended up adding a external baro. It was a mitsi part and reads fine. Stole the baro wire from the afm.

Running a 506 maf now from a fairly late lancer. 3g style with the smaller plug. Also changed from the 510cc injectors to evo7 560cc injectors. Fairly easy to adjust tune to suit as I have ecmlink still.
The outboard pressure sensor is not suitable. Reads pretty different to the pressure sensor inside the afm

Had to fit a towbar to the ute so I can fill and tow my dodgy trailer around.
Currently back of ute holds a natural gas log fire that is getting a lpg conversion to run off bottle gas.
Ute still pottering about with na 2.0 dohc... Thinking I should at least give the spare parts vr4 engine sitting on the pallet a leak down test and see if it's a runner or not.
