nah, i got the tv tech to do that. he charged me $30 and i asked him about the ic driver then. he told me it would be expensive to repair, about $100.
Thats when i thought i better fix it my self and drink the difference. you can get the ic drivers off ebay.
it blows me away how busy the isc is, it spins in and out constantly, if you go full throttle it spins to position 100 straight away, then back to around 30 for idle, and all over the place inbetween. if you have ecmlink you can log it and check it out.

i have a small miss when on boost, checked leads and put some new plugs in gapped to 0.9mm. all fixed.

might have to go do a 1/4 time to see how it going power wise. tune is still pretty safe and boost is lowly 6psi, but have tuned the idle and cruise and it very responsive and smooth. mrs loves it and i am thinking of a gti satria for her to play with..... it begins again.

ute stopped yesterday, is the fuel pump wiring at the connector where it exits out the cab. so i have removed the wires from the connector and soldered them together. i joined the power and earth wires
no more issues, will still need to upgrade the wiring for the fuel pump at some stage.

chopped the last of the donor gsr up and took it to the friendly local metal recyclers. now i have room to look at the g4cs....
i took out the brake switch from the pedal box as i am keen for NLTS to work on the ecmlink.

should see the commobore drivers eyes with the launch limit at 3500rpm, and you nail it at the lights before they go green. priceless

my spark plug cover arrived, so i got some stainless button head bolts and chucked it on. much better.

cant find the brake switch to put on the clutch for the NLTS. stupid memory aint what it used to be

Pulled out clutch pedal box and did the firewall bracing and welded in new nut to take the NLTS switch.
I did the bracing plate in ali, but it was a bugger to position as it kept moving out of place. I ended up gluing them together so i could position it correctly.

went to the local swap meet the other day and got some goodies that brian obviously didnt know were for sale. lol

not saying too much at present, as intrigue and suspense seem to be well received around here....

but 1 part of the goodies was a front brace and that is on already.


on the down side, the front brakes are worn out, pads are 110 ish. i have removed the squealer tabs for now and have moved forward the front brake upgrade.
looking at the tj magna awd discs, with 4spot wrx calipers for the front (i have the calipers already) or maybe 3000gt discs but have to look how big they are.
rears will be au series3 upgrade discs with wrx rear calipers. when the diff goes in...

Seems I holding out on you guys, I bought a lathe and mill for myself for Xmas. Mrs wasn't too happy, but the jummy was upset too with the lathe in the back. Lucky I didn't have to go far and the tyre was rubbing too.
Poor engine crane only just got it lifted out and I had to hand splice a rope into a soft sling so as not to damage the bed.
The mill was lighter and easier.

Almost nothing I cant make/modify or destroy now.

5m of carbon wrap has arrived for the bonnet and roof too, might even do the bike a bit

the ute was making a racket on the front brakes, it is out of pads, pads are 150 odd bucks, so i have moved the brake conversion up to high priority.
i want to use my 4pot subaru calipers from a my99 wrx, beccause they are here. they have the brembo bolt spacing.
i have bought some 297mm magna awd rotors, and slotted them myself


the brackets are of 12mm plate as required for engineering, i have cut them out and they are tapped, just need to clean them up and locate the other 2 holes, hope the hoses bolt up...

Well there are complications. The ute has been pranged. Everyone is ok, but ute is smashed down drivers side. A fence is a bit worse for wear.
Im at work still, so no pics as yet. ((

I hate it when I don't get to break my own stuff.
I have a 4" grinder that is 20 yeArs old and still working strong, it's on it's 3rd set of brushes...

It seems the steering knuckle has broken at the hole where the tie rod goes through!!!
