This..... have been thinking of 2.6l goodness......

All this stuff about stroker engines not revving out, my 2.3 goes just fine on the track.

There is not a lot of 87mm pistons with 21mm pins... unless you look at nissan pistons. Sr20, rb26... I havent compared any other dimensions tho..

The only cp 87mm dsm pistons are for the 7bolt 4g64.
So you will need Frankenstein rods that are 6 bolt big end and 7bolt small end. Manley do the Frankenstein rods for same price as 6bolt rods...

Speak to spool imports, guy there told me the cp pistons come in one size but they can have them made to order also, this was for a 93 but I'm sure they would be able to have oversize ones made for other engine varieties

CP can and will do custom order pistons for no extra charge, but a longer lead time, I had some made for a L28 Datsun to the desired specs. You need to fill out lots of paperwork and dick about but it is doable

kiggly has earned a few of my $$
ordered the girdle, hla and flex plate.

also my bloody tig packed it in grrr. so had to replace it. got a dc mig/tig combo that will take a spool gun. i struggle to tig ali so will try to spool gun it later. nice welder but i still crap...

anyone want a 5kg box of ali tig rods. also my old mig needs go as well. gas/gasless with a roll of gasless wire (was splattering a bit but now i know you need to reverse polarity for gasless so that might fix it)

No spare bottle. I was using it as gasless.
With new welder I got roll of gas wire so have switched over.

I think the gasless will be heaps better once leads are swapped over.

Rods and pistons ordered...
Manley Frankenstein rods to stick with a theme. 2g wiseco pistons to suit.

Hope to get bearings, bse and gaskets sorted shortly. That will be about it...

All the bottom end parts have been dropped down to the engine builder. Just gotta wait for the shiny bits to return.

Also, I have nearly completed the w2a piping and mounts. Waiting for the silicone joiners to arrive and the water hoses.
Damn its about time. Its been ages.
Hope to have the ute back going so I can go get the new engine shortly

Oh yea, aldo built me a you beaut all bells and whistles fully sik auto gearbox to suit 10sec ball breaker, v8 whateva trasher.

Also aldo sent me a rvr loom. That is why I was looking for a gsr loom, so I could patch in the auto wiring on a spare loom. But considering I have a std jumbuck loom and the rvr loom I think I can do the extra work and put them together.
May as well look at putting newer evo ecu plugs on it and going to ecuflash and some tephra goodness...

Going to need long service leave. For sure

now they know what it says on it and where it is.....but still dont know what it is Jack.

this one of the wheels off jacks evo nine toy bulldozer.....you can tell that because the little dimples are where the tracks run
