Howd ya go with the leaky crankshaft seal, no leaks now?
and where ya reckon its burning it from? Stem seals or rings??

Fixed the crank leak no worries at all. The little sleeve thing worked a treat. I found the cam seal was leaking a bit too, so put one of them in as well
I reckon its rings, its got heaps of blowby. I think its pumping the oil out the rocker breather into the intake. I should do a compression test. I will before I pull it out. It stinks of burnt oil whenever the boost gauge goes positive.
If it was stem seals I would put them in.

Yea mine likes to spit oil back I to the intake, but its okay, well it'll have to be anyway, like ya self its kinda giving me the motivation to get the 2L done, or 2.4 in your case,

I have got serious on the weight saving too.
My fullriver battery has been discharged too many times and is stuffed. I got another pc680 size battery for it. But when it arrived the fullriver screw in terminal wouldnt fit.....what to do...I didnt have the m6 tap, so I lopped the ends off the battery leads and screwed the leads on.

So now its like a bike with screw on leads. And I have saved the weight of the brass battery posts and a bit of the lead. Also the height of the battery is lower.

I tried to find a lithium battery that would fit in the box, but didnt find one (cheaper than a braille please) will look harder next time.

Also fixed my multimeter that had a blown track on the ampmeter. I was draining .022 amps at rest (on new battery installed in ute- alarm i think). I found if I pulled the 2 20a fuses under the bonnet that the amp draw was then .000 amps. So a guess thats what I need to do from now on.

About the same weight as a half full stubby. I made a direct comparison. First I started with a empty stubby and it was far to light. Then I tried a full stubby and it was much to heavy. Then (not unlike goldilocks), I tried a half full stubby and it was just right.
I recompared at intervals during the afternoon and backed up my findings. Yep- im right.

bit of progress on headlights. Patient work. Just a bit more to fiddle with on the inside corner trim. These are the angeleyes that were on the ute when it had the proton front end and it was white.
but i did put the crazythegod orange indicators on. They look ok.
a sharp eye will pick the still std brakes, and the bent bonnet. Im calling it a recurve bonnet. The paintless dent guy fixed the roof and i got new windscreen in too.

New bonnet is on today. Roof and bonnet is carbon wrapped.
been making vacuum former for headlights too. Just rescued vacuum from junk day and put new cord on it...

jayrome has one of these honda shadows too....mine looks better. Just put the forward controls on it for the harley bad attitude poseur looks.
Looks better, no more comfort tho
