With 179kw, a GSR would -just- manage a mid-high 12 with that kind of power and a 1.7-1.8 second 60 ft.

You can't say that a FWD with "Street" tyres can pull a 1.8 60ft can you? Dreaming....!

What MPH was it trapping? 120?

Sounds like the guy was making a bit more than 179kw......

I had a GSR Galant that made over 200kw atw and the only time I raced it managed a 13.7@111mph- that was on 17" street tyres. 2.4 second 60ft. To knock 1 second off that time it needed slicks. No ifs, buts or maybes about it!

why has it been accomplished then? cant argue with results!! You raced you gsr galant once? maybe if you put abit more time in at the track with it! your times would've decreased? and what does a gsr galant weigh?

AND have you seen evcoupe's video on the previous page?

You can argue with the results if the formula doesn't add up!

Seriously, I don't want to turn this into a "who is right and who isn't" thread, but if you don't know how drag racing works- then maybe you should just say so, instead of trying to be a hero.

It doesn't matter about what my E.T was when I raced the FWD Galant. It's all about the MPH.

I did see the vid on the previous page- and if you noticed, the CRX only trapped 110mph- so was going slower over the line than what my old Galant was. The only thing is that it made it over the line 1.7 seconds before my car did. It's not rocket science to figure out why. That's why I was saying that with 179kw, that pulsar needs at least a 1.9 second 60ft for it to break into the 12's. There's NO WAY you can do that without slicks!@!!!! (or wayy more than 179kw)

Have you even been in a fast FWD yet!??? Trying to get traction isn't easy, especially on the street.

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.

FYI the current fastest FWD 4G93T is Brankos TurboWorX preped lancer. This lancer was built ~5-6 years ago by Nick.
Its a 4G93T SOHC. Made something like 270kw i think and has gone as fast as 130mph (from memory)
It used the factory box with a welded locker..

I might need to do some runs with the semis, get some life into this topic.

My brother will join you boys on the fwd division.

Just got some new cams and bigger injectors.

What is the record on slicks and the record on street tyres?
