You'll seriously shorten the life of your manifold if you don't run any form of flex pipe.
The 4G63 motor code is street shorthand for dominance. It's automotive Darwinism.

That is one cool car man you should be very proud, it looks the part and has the go to match it... as for what sorta power you are achieving that is just pure horn... It might be a bit rude of me to ask but a around about how much money have you spent on it over the years?? :)
Again very nice car..

with all its different engine and turbo combo's over the years its had way tooo much spent on it, alot of the money was spent on tuning, breakages and mods back when not alot of ppl knew too much about the gsr's and evos. wheres now theres a simple path to follow to get the results.

on the curent spec build its had prob 30+ nzd spent on it but thats included the whole engine, turbo, cooler, whole fuel system, lots of hours on the dyno, fuel, clutch, cage fabrication etc.

i should'a brought another house instead

well the new manifold is on, its pretty much a copy of the old one but this one flows alot more smoothly.

i had it run up on the dyno just to check everything was all ok and it came out with 451.5kw atw on the same tune, boost increased to 29.5psi over the 28 the car has been running.
peak power was also made over 500prm earlier than before and it was still going straight up where it was more of a curve before.
i also gained about 90 more ft lbs of torque and in the mid range boost is coming on alot faster, at 5000 it now has 5 more psi than it had before.

fueling is my hold up now as im going to either need bigger injectors or add some extra's, ill prob do the fueling more for safety than going for more power.
i think it has enough for now

surprisingly enough ive never had an issue with drive shafts breaking.
the box has held up to alot of punishment over the years ive had it for, ive only had to replace alot of 5th gear hubs, from it not liking to engage 5th quickly.

if it doesnt rain on sunday im taking it out to the drags, well see how well it holds up

for chch the next one is mid feb then the 4 and rotary meet here mid march.

auckland has the 4 and rotary nationals in 2 weeks time.

the plan was to take it to auckland, but now with needing a clutch those plans may be off.
