Hey, has anyone know if a HG Galant GSR manual front wheel drive gearbox will fit onto a standard CB Lancer engine. A friend in the country needs a gearbox for his CB lancer... and I have a spare GGSR gearbox I need to clear out, and I'm not sure on these earlier Lancers.

should be able to fit it mike, but not sure on the flywheel sizes, but i know people have used them on them before.

It'll bolt up to the motor no problem, driveshafts will be fine too but you will have to play around with selector cables. Easiest way to use some from CC lancer but it'll never feel right.

is the 1.6 gsr and 1.5 box the same? was thinking that they where different and op hasnt said it was a gsr ?

Is there a gearbox from something with an LSD that will bolt into a CE 1.8L Lancer to replace the standard front wheel drive box?
